I've been to some Starbucks in cities, and enjoyed the kick back and relax feel. Some local Starbucks I've visited locally seem to be just put there for its name. This is one of those great kick-back-and-relax Starbucks. I love it's design that feels like your in the district of a city where cafes dominate and pull you away for a little while. The coffee and food is your typical Starbucks menu. Great cheese danish, and caramel macchiato was awesome. The best of this particular store is its service. They are cheerful and love to work together. This is a new store, so some are still learning. But to keep a positive attitude during your beginning months is tricky. They pull it off easily. It will take a little time for them to develop drive-thru window mechanics, but they are doing pretty good at this point already. The lobby is clean and looks like they keep it maintained very well. Manager works really hard and stays by each employees side when they need it, while getting her work done. And seems to it so effortlessly. Normally I don't give retail chains 5 stars, and I'm not a big fan of Starbucks since I see them all over the world when I travel, ruining the feel of being somewhere else, especially in Asian countries. But this store is great, and I will be returning, and recommending others. It may be retail, but it has its own spirit. Oh, and I wish they made the lobby a little bigger. It's good, just Middletown does have a coffee culture that needs...
Read moreI go to Starbucks often. I've never been treated so poorly as a customer as I was at this Starbucks. I asked the barista for 2 small dark roast coffees, one cream each. He comes back with large cups of coffee. I asked "is that a small?" He replies "you said tall." I NEVER say tall because I don't know a tall from a venti... whatever. I wanted a small. Anytime I go to Starbucks they understand me, AND repeat my order. All this time, he's treating me rudely and with sarcasm. Then he's laughing at me, shakes his head, and the guy behind me chimes in too! Both of them making sarcastic gestures, snickering, tisking, and shaking their head, laughing. Then he refunds me for 2 mediums, and then charges me again for 2 smalls. After this humiliating exchange, I move to the side to check the amount of cream. There was almost no cream! So I asked another barista for some cream. He puts cream in a cup and all but throws it at me.
Got to the car, and the coffee was COLD!!!! I've never been so disappointed by a Starbucks establishment in my life. Such a waste. No class, no customer service. An embarrassment to the...
Read moreFirst time at this location (visited on 12/22/22) will avoid it like the plague moving forward. Extremely slow and unfriendly. I made the mistake of going inside hoping to avoid the long drive thru line but the in your face person is not prioritized AT ALL. By the time I got my one drink the drive thru line was long gone & at least five mobile orders were made with no one to pick up. Maybe this would indicate to start the orders made in-person but no the line for in-person orders just accumulated. With all the staff working prioritize the customers looking at you! Or other staff help out with orders that are not mobile orders. It doesn’t seem like a far reaching concept. Even the most patient person will get annoyed when you keep yelling out names for mobile orders that have no...
