Panera Bread — Restaurant in Midland

The last few times I've ordered a breakfast sandwich here, I've been disappointed. Since this is my go-to drive thru, I'm concerned! Today I ordered a modified Asiago bagel sausage scramble egg sandwich. I have ordered this many times in the past and find it easier to order via app. I was hopeful today, double checking I had it right.

The fillings in the sandwich were correct, however the amount received and quality of them tend to vary day-to-day and based on traveling experiences, store to store. I asked for crispy bacon and today I got it. Most of the time it's very floppy. The eggs were not as fluffy as they have been and the quantity was less. Spinach was good, but the tomatoes were on the green side of red. I asked for light salt and pepper but it was more heavy-handed than my taste prefers. The real bummer was not getting asiago focaccia as the bread.

Even though the fillings did not fill the whole bagel which is admittedly large, they were neatly placed and the sandwich was carefully wrapped in deli paper. I really liked this because sometimes it's not neatly wrapped and the ingredients and bread slide apart.

I will be contacting the store if they don't contact me first and hope that they can return to consistent service since I just bought $50 in gift cards for the...

I frequent this Panera bread quite a bit and usually things are great. Tonight was not, my grilled cheese looked like it was assembled by a toddler. When I went to pay for my order which was $10.68, I pulled out $10 and then .67 cents out of my pocket which was all the change I had in my pocket. Rather than break another dollar because I was a penny short, I asked if the drive thru had a penny to cover the penny I was short. Girl working the drive thru took the money and then a few moments later came back saying I was a penny short. I replied by saying that was why I asked if you had a penny. Not upset or anything just didn’t want to add more change to my pocket. So I give the girl a dollar for my penny that I am short. I then receive my change and it’s not .99 cents like it should’ve been it was .79 cents. At that point I was just irritated and left because it would’ve taken even longer for her to recount it out and It was only .20 cents off. So when the till gets counted tonight and it’s .20 cents over that will be why😂😂😂 $15+ and hour and a grilled cheese can’t be cooked right and change can’t even be counted...

We went through the drive through at 9:49 AM. We ordered the Baja grain bowl, a bacon, tomato & scrambled egg wrap, and coffee. The bread surrounding the wrap was cracker hard in several places, all the tomatoes were on the top of the wrap, and all the bacon was on the bottom.🤔 The grain bowl was very tasty, eventhough it seemed a bit sparse. The coffee was delicious, and piping hot! Unfortunately, I didn't notice that the baguette was missing from the bag until we were long gone from the drive through...bummer! I do really enjoy the various breads Panera makes, especially early in the day when they're fresh. 🙁 Usually Panera has generous portions, great food, beverages, and of course, fresh bread. Maybe we just caught this store at a bad time, or...who knows. When you pay almost $18 for drive through food, I guess you just hope for better than...
