I am sorry to say but the food is just ok for fast food Mexican food. The quality of food has gone down since the last time (several years & pre COVID) I ate at a Rosa's Cafe, so sad!!! The chile verde had a good flavor, and the few pieces of beef in it was really good. It was not spicy hot at all, and the potatos in it looked old and the texture of them was not good. Too many potatos and not enough beef. The service was lacking.... Noemi B. took our order and acted as if she was swamped and didn't have time to even look at us, although the restaurant was near empty (we were the 3rd customers inside at around 10am. She took it order in a rush and I was still asking her aquestion when she stormed off and seemed to have answered my question but she was so far away that I didn't hear what she said. The food was thrown together and the breakfast bowl looked really sloppy and ill prepared. I'm not sure what brand of coffee they use but it didn't have a rich favor.
I was visiting Midland for a wedding, and coming from Houston, I was so looking forward to eating at Rosa's again. The only good thing was the carrot cake and the chocolate cake. So...
Read moreRosas on Andrews Hwy in Midland, Texas has gone down hill!! Everytime I go through the drive thru, I am hurried and the food is either wrong or very sloppy. Today was the last day I go to the Rosas on Andrews. The staff has become very rude and acts as if they want to get rid of you as soon as possible. The lady at the window today opened it, handed me my bag without saying anything and then asked if I wanted hot sauce, gave it to me and shut the window. When she realized I had not left, she then asked if I wanted a receipt, handed it to me and closed the window again. My tostada looked sloppy, I hardly had any hot sauce and then my sopapillas looked horrible! Several times they have not even put my taco salad in a shell, they just gave the ingredients in the Shell. I understand having timely service, but this management needs to teach their employees customer service. They act as if you are bothering them. Very disappointed. I'm done with the...
Read moreI ate at Rosa's when I was a kid but have rarely had that opportunity in adulthood. The obvious comparison to Rosa's is Taco Cabana but there are some distinctions. The quality is higher at Rosa's, and with higher quality comes higher prices. So expect to pay a bit more than at Taco Cabana but less than a sitdown restaurant like Abuelo's.
I ordered the chicken fajitas and everything was perfect. One of the most important thing about fajitas are the tortillas and here they are made to perfection. They look, taste, and smell homemade. Also, they are well sized. The chicken was perfect. I also loved the salsa bar. The only thing I didn't like was the use of iceberg lettuce. Time to update that with romaine or something else with...
