The Bar — Restaurant in Midland

So drive all the way there excited to check out this place. The nice hostess is was cordial and the waiter sitting people out in patio was super nice and let us in with dogs in the back patio.. She took our drink order. Then she comes back and says" are my dogs service dogs" sorry the manager wanted me to ask!!! REALLY MANAGER! Why don't you come out yourself. So by this time no order has been taken and no drinks. So I said sure. Then she asks " can I see papers" !! Thats when we leave!! There was like two people out in the patio and early afternoon. What a ridiculous establishment!!!!!!!!!. Out of town folks and I have never been asked for dog papers even if they are service dogs. That is plain unprofessional and frankly poor management. Way to go !! Welcoming new Midlanders!!! If this is how you want to be treated sure. I think service dogs are actually more well behaved than this. That's all you can ask for. Don't come if your a dog lover, this establishment will not let you get in order or let you stay. Simply Ridiculous!!!!!. They don't even respect their customers. Good luck with staying...

Absolutely Ridiculous, this place is a disappointment. We came in at 9:15. Brought a family member to enjoy a nice late night steak.

We were immediately asked to pay a $10 cover per person due entertainment later that night.

So we had to pay and extra “”$20””on top of what we would order. This is insane. We are here to eat and not for the entertainment. The front lady charging was a bit rude and not welcoming at all. I asked to speak to the Manager and that took about 5-6 minutes to find her.

Regean was not willing to sit us unless we paid the full cover. After seeing our frustration she said she would cut out entry fee to half. I told her I wouldn’t pay for it. I’m a regular customer and bring a lot of clients to this establishment. There was no band playing at the time we were at the front. Place was not even full and there was a lot of tables open inside and outside.

First time also the last time poor service they switched off waiters twice food came out not cooked to order preferences sent back food came back cold, waiter made no attempt to refill tea glasses , also no silverware came with food , plus no salt / pepper , had to ask another table to barrow theirs waiter never returned with napkins ordered Two Jack Daniels steaks about the worst tasting I’ve ever had took them home and cook them to my specs they also forgot my side orders had to wait for them , came out cold over priced and under service the only thing good was the grilled quail French fries were sweet potato didn’t order those they refused to take them back never explained anything about those only reason getting 2 stars because the quail and clean restrooms other than that pretty...
