El Paso Mexican Restaurant — Restaurant in Midlothian

We have been coming here for years and enjoying it, MULTIPLE times each week. Today we had an experience that was bad enough to make us decide not to come back. We asked the waitress if the guacamole in the shrimp and guacamole was made fresh or not. She said it was made at he time it was ordered. As such, we ordered it without jalapeños. (If it wasn’t fresh I would have gone with the shrimp salad or cóctel like normal). It came to the table old and with jalapeños. We asked for either fresh guacamole or the salad. She told us no, she messed up, but no, she would have to charge us. We asked for the manager. He came over and said the same. When we reminded him how often we come and that we never complain he said they would fix it, this once. (Which rubbed my husband wrong anyway) When the “fresh guacamole” came it was nothing more than squished avocado no salt, no lime, no cilantro no onions. It was avocado not guacamole.

They treated us bad the first time we complained ever....

I went here just 2 days ago and I wish I could rate it higher. Unfortunately, their food is horrible. I’d give the staff and service 5 stars as our hostess and waitress were both very friendly and attentive. My son ordered the mini taco salad off of the kids menu. It had unseasoned ground beef, a huge pile of lettuce, a dollop of sour cream and a quarter slice of tomato. My sister had a chicken soft taco that had no seasoning and a burrito that was only good due to the red sauce. I had the grande burrito and taco. Again, no seasoning. The taco meat was literal ground beef and grease. There was not even a hint of salt. I’ve never had to salt my food at a Mexican place before! I’m not even a big salt eater. But none of the food we ordered had any seasoning at all. If I’ve said that too many times, it is because I’m in total shock that I had bland food at a Mexican restaurant! I won’t be going back here and the search is back on for a good place to have some...

We were happy to find this restaurant after recently moving here. However, last night both my husband and I were very disappointed with our meals - there was VERY LITTLE meat in our entrees; basically there were only onions and peppers.

We our expressed our dissatisfaction with our meals to our server who said she would get the manager. He never came to our table to speak with us, but our server did return and explained that the meat portions were (always) weighed out and assured us that we got what was "normal".

Finally, on our way out, we asked to speak to the manager and were able to do so. However, he was not receptive nor did he seem to care at all about our dissatisfaction. He only repeated that meat portions were always weighed out and he was sure we were wrong. He offered no apology and did not express any care for us as customers. We had liked this place before but now are so disappointed in the management that we do NOT...
