I placed an online pickup order for a gluten free ham sub. I specifically checked "no pickle spear" while placing the order. (My daughter hates pickle.) The cost was $10.99 (gf bun surchage). My daughter was disappointed when she opened the sub and there was a pickle spear that got juices on half of the sub. She ate the half that didn't get the pickle juice, but the bun on the other half had absorbed the pickle juice flavor. I was irritated because I had said no pickle so our order was inaccurate. Many things I could just pick off and that would be that. But pickle juice is very strong and you can't just get rid of it. This was our first time trying Firehouse subs. I went back to my order and choose the "report a problem" option. I put in that my order was wrong as the issue. It offered me 1,100 points as a consolation and asked if I wanted to accept it. I went to their menu to see what 1,100 points would get - if it would have been half of the price of a medium sub I would have said yes! That would be fair. A medium sub is actually 12,000 points! So 1,100 is pretty measly. Heck, the lowest point item is a brownie or cookie for 4,000. So they basically offered me 1/4 of a cookie for my trouble. That's almost offensive. So I said no and escalated it. I did receive a response quickly. However, the response was vague and full of lip service. (Screenshot below.) I wasn't sure what to expect to happen next. I interpreted it as they would have someone contact me. After waiting 8 days and hearing nothing, I reached back out. I let them know I was disappointed that I hadn't heard anything. They gave me a similar (almost identical!), unhelpful response. I can't believe it's taken me this much effort to get fair compensation for an order that was incorrect. If they would have offered me 6,000 points at the very start I would have taken it. I'll never eat at Firehouse again based on the poor service. Mistakes I can understand. Not being willing to make it right is what frustrates me. At this point, I'm now not just angry about the lunch that my daughter couldn't eat all of but also angry about the about of time I've spent. At this point I think my only option is to go through the dispute process with my credit card company since Firehouse refuses to offer me acceptable compensation for their error.

There's better out there, but here's what I found today. I ordered 2 subs, 1 Italian & 1/2 meatball. Meatball sub came full size, not half, don't know if I was charged for half or full but I ordered 1/2. That's on me. My Italian sub come with a semi dry pickle +1☆. My Italian sub is so sloppy I can't hold it together to eat it. Everybody likes their money's worth on the meat, I can't complain about quantity, plenty of meat. The bun is so wet with sauce its all soggy top & bottom sauced excessively, I even asked for no tomato so it wouldn't be sloppy. The bun is way, way too small for the portion of meat supplied. I'll have to use knife and fork because sub is too sloppy to hold together, its like trying to hold 3 slippery fish together in 1 stack. No, I won't be back. Anges pizza & Donatos subs are less moist and won't fall apart when your trying to eat it.

The sandwiches are good, but it takes a RIDICULOUS amount of time for them to make them when they aren't even busy. I've regularly waited for 20 minutes for an Italian sub when there's more people working then there are customers in the place. EDIT: You would think after the wait I could've gotten a sandwich without pieces of plastic from packaging inside it. Unfortunately I don't have time to go back so I'll just throw it out. Also apparently double meat means quadruple ham and the same amount of everything else. 25$ and a 20 minute wait for a Italian large double meat sub, and I'm goin hungry. Super lame.

We had an unexpected hour break at the firm so I decided to stop here for the FIRST TIME EVER!!!

Upon entering, one of the food prep ladies had announced that the wait is between 20-25 minutes. So I looked around and there were ONLY 3 people in front of me... Big deal, right?! Keep reading, Please!!!

So I had ordered JUST a small popular sandwich from their menu... No chips.... No drink... Nothing extra or fancy... Thinking, that should be a quick fix and I will run over to the Dollar Store and grab both my chips & drink for the total of $2.50!

At first, the timeframe didn't make any sense. I actually thought she was over-exaggerating, but then I saw ALL the talking and pausing that were happening in between preparing each order! Smh... It was ridiculous!! It was in the middle of the afternoon for GOD Sakes... EVERYONE IS ON A BREAK and needs to return!!! So park ALL the convos til 1 or 2pm!!! Besides... SPIT FLIES WHILE YOU ARE TALKING OVER FOLKS FOOD ORDERS! (Thinking & cringing to myself.)

Even still or glutting for punishment, I had stuck it out since I HEARD good things about this eatery. To my amazement, she was indeed correct... it really did take 20-25 minutes for my 1 small, barely 5 inch basic popular sandwich order!

I grabbed my lonely bag and was out the door in a blink and stopped at the Dollar Store as planned. But when I finally was able to sit down to stop my dancing intestines I realized the Styrofoam container DID NOT CONTAIN WHAT I HAD ORDERED!!! HOW?????

I was sitting there staring at BREAD, MAYO, and a SPRINKLE of LETTUCE! Thinking to myself... HOW CAN YOU MESS UP A BASIC SANDWICH?! THAT'S ALL YOU DO FOR THE ENTIRE SHIFT! 1 JOB AND SCREWED THAT UP!!!!!!

I took the rest of my break to return it, and as I entered, the ENTIRE CREW started apologizing before I could open my mouth!!!! But I couldn't help thinking about the ones that DID NOT have time to bring the horror in their Styrofoam back???!!!! I could've been one of those and stuck with NOTHING and out of $10!!!

Who has time to be SCREWED OVER like this on their lunch break??? NOT ME!!!

I will NOT return back here even if there is a FREE sign on top of the building or if Trump is dressed in drag passing out coupons on the corner!!!

Oh, I definitely TOLD EVERYONE AT WORK, and especially informed those who place our huge orders from surrounding eateries for our larger meetings.

Another CRAZY...

Food was great, but order process was absolutely horrible. I placed the order online and stated thatvI would be there 20 minutes later and the order was confirmed. I arrived approximately 3 minutes late. I was asked how my order was placed and I told them online and was here to pick up my order. I gave them my name and was told it would be another 15 minutes or so. I let them know that I placed the order over 29 minutes ago. His response made me even more upset. He excuse was "We JUST got hit with a bunch of orders!!!!!" " We are super short staffed and it's going to be another 15 minutes or so!!!!!". I told him to cancel my order then because I had to be at work in 10 minutes. Again, his response was "it will be another 15 minutes". Just then another woman I assumed to be the manager on duty asked the young man what my order was. He gave her no response, so I had to tell her what the order was. All told, I ended being 15 minutes late from work. I called their corporate office to file a concern/complaint, I was told since all the locations were franchisee owned and that the incident that had happened to me is "definitely NOT the way they do business and would send the store owner my contact information and would have him contact me. I will wait to see how long, if at all, the owner actually does call and his level of concern UPDATE----- The owner had yet to call to speak with me, seemingly not concerned as to what his e.ployees are or are not doing. I absoluty will be contacting their corporate office once again, advising them that THEIR FRANCHISEE seems to have no concerns with regards to HIS BUSINESS LOCATION. BBB, Ohio Attorney General, Yelp and other will most definately be advised of this "FRANCHISEE...
