Place was clean. My kid who is very picky, shocked me and decided to try something different!! I had her order her food; she wanted a breakfast sandwich but instead of the sandwich stacked/put together by the cook, she wanted each item put on the plate so she could assemble it herself, all the items just put on the plate next to each other instead of on top of each other. She was told ācook will have a huge issue with that so Iām not even going to send that back, youāll have to find something else or order it as isā and she recommended a basic breakfast my kid has ordered everywhere 100x. They were not busy, she wasnāt asking for anything weird or hard. So simple⦠so disappointing!! It was an easy request, a request that made her feel like a big girl. And it just blew the wind right out of her sail. Food was basic cheap Coney Island you can get anywhere. Nothing special. Also her eggs werenāt scrambled very well with a lot of white in them and edges were brown, over cooked. Edit: owner says āit was not brought to my attentionā⦠because she said youād have a HUGE issue w any changes regardless how small so she wouldnāt even try⦠either sheās a professional Karen or she knew it would be a problem she wasnāt willing to start⦠Iām guessing the later. Hence the reason why it wasnāt mentioned. I do see w other reviews edits...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreBobby's Kitchen, freshly remodeled and under new ownership, is in a historically significant building, one of the oldest in Milan. It was once a rowdy roadhouse. It was boarded up for several years, and reopened as restaurant by a previous owner. The current owner (Bobby) has wisely had the parking lot completely resurfaced and repainted for safety and accessibility. Inside, the light well-lit dining room are lofty ceilings and simple unpretentious decor. The brand new booths are plush and comfortable, and the tables are spaced well apart for plenty of room and privacy. We were cheerfully greeted at the door, and were immediately attended to. The menu is extensive and offers plenty of variety, many tempting dishes that made choosing one a delightful dilemma. Our dishes were delivered fairly quickly, generous portions, and expertly cooked. The waitstaff are very friendly, professional and attentive. The owner himself even came out to greet everyone. The prices are reasonable, the atmosphere is casual and comfortable, there are daily specials posted on a blackboard. These people are really passionate about making this place a smashing success. They've definitely got my support. They deserve yours too. For a delightful dining experience, visit Bobby's...

We made the trip from Ohio to meet our sister and her friend, Phil, who is a local and recommended it. WOW, SO NOT DISAPPOINTED.
We were joking with them about eating here because, "Hey, it's Milan, Michigan, is Bobby's like the Wish Bob Evans or something!?!?!𤣠How good could it be???"
Welp, needless to say we ate some major humble pie, and were happy to do so. Actually, we ate some breakfast skillets, to be exact. š WHOLLY MOLEY!!! were they the best ever!
Going in, our litmus test for the legitimacy of the place was the sausage gravy. In other words, if the sausage gravy is canned, we knew the place is sus off-the-batt!!! BUT HOMERUN, it was homemade and SO GOOD! We ate it all like Randy from the Christmas Story at his mashed potatoes.
The facilities are clean, the staff is kind, and the food is hot and fresh. Pro tip: look at the restaurant logo above the bar and then look through the kitchen pick-up window and what do you notice? š¤ šš...
