This unprepossessing burger joint in a small town is something of a hidden gem. Their burger is a smashburger that seems to be made of onsite ground beef. The pulled pork sandwich is actually a chopped pork with coleslaw and their barbeque sauce. The sauce is not a sweet sauce at all, nor is it mustard, it tastes like a vinegar based sauce but it is so heavily spiced that the spices make it thick. Their sides are large portions, and they are very large. The coney dog is a skinless hot dog with a wonderful chili sauce, diced white onion and yellow mustard. The chili sauce is a cut above, the dog is nothing special, but altogether it is a great hot dog. The biggest thing here is the price! Their "slider" is the size of a McDonald's burger and you can get 5 of them for $7! Their normal portion of wedge fries is large and is $2, a "family basket" $6.25 and is an full fryer basket of lovely skin on wedge fries. Come try this place, it's worth the trip.

Where’s the beef? I stopped by to try the old school burger joint for the first time, hoping it was the hidden gem others had described. Unfortunately, it was more reminiscent of the old Wendy’s “Where’s the beef?” commercial. I got a few sliders for myself and my family, and I arrived home to discover an unpleasant surprise. The burger portion of the sliders was minuscule… not much bigger than the pickles and hardly big enough to qualify as a slider. Disappointing to say the least—and I regret leaving an almost 50% tip, trusting that it would be well-earned. I’m glad to see that others have had better experiences. As for me, I’m crossing Roy’s off the list of places I’d visit again.

First the burgers, I happened to try the Big One and it lives up to its name. A single 1/2 lb patty that is about the same size as Hardy's and Burger Kings. Per the cook the meat is as fresh as possible and ground every morning. I have no reason to believe this is not true with the burger patty being juicy and flavorful. The toppings are standard fare with tomato, lettuce, and mayo being the defaults. Adding bacon makes a big difference, as it usually does, with the bacon used being nice and crispy with a bit of extra flavor, probably from peppercorns. Adding pickles gives it an extra zing and they use good thickly sliced dills. The bun is nice and soft with sesame seeds but otherwise is nothing special. I also tried the fried mushrooms on the side. A bit too much batter for my tastes but otherwise delicious. A good value as well as you get more than expected for the price. The tater wedges, closest things to fries here, are good being a little crispy but not overdone. The BBQ next. Pulled pork is the primary offering with ribs being offered on Friday nights. The pork is good, but nothing super special. There is only one sauce and it is good as well. The last thing I have tried is the Friday fish special. This is a treat with big pieces of pollock deep fried till golden and crispy. The sides fill out the dinner well and you will be...

I was told people come from around the USA to eat their bbq sauce.. honestly it was the WORST sauce i ever had in my life! It taste like pure curry with something else maybe mop water. this is just the beginning of my complaints, hold on it gets better. I ordered a pepsi told the waitress it was flat she brought another then told me if i didnt like it to walk outside and use the pop machine (lazy hillbilly).

I cant believe these people actually met and talked with other people and have a job these people are like from the worse trailer park and like the people from wrong turn. They are walking around dirty and smelly when you talk to them to try to take your order they walk away and talk and cant here you and say to talk louder you keep asking for stuff and they cant hear you and i ask for napkins and they didn’t respond they just brought them on the table with a attitude the guy has a attitude and doesnt talk or respond when asking him a question and the little hillbilly girl is the one who takes the order and walks away and doesnt ask you if you need something

And the greasy guy at the grill...
