I was honestly very disappointed with the service i received the last time i dined here. My friends really wanted to eat sushi but being that i am allergic to sushi i had to order something some off the sushi menu. I ordered the Hibachi Chicken assuming that an Asian restaurant would know how to make it. When the plate came to me , it was displeasing and not appetizing. The vegetables looked like frozen ones that were just microwaved. The chicken was very plain hardly any flavor on it. I don't normally do this but i told the waitress i wasn't too satisfied with it. The way they handled the fact that i didn't enjoy my meal was very unprofessional. They told me i had to pay 50% for it even thou i hardly touched the plate. They said that i wasn't allowed to order something and send it back. I mentioned they could've informed that their hibachi chicken was differently made than typical restaurants and they said "they don't have to tell me nothing." I never been treated with such horrible customer service before. I've worked as a waitress myself and when i would get a customer sending back a meal i would handle it in a professional and nice manner. The fact that i had to deal with a lady screaming at me for sending something back and i had to pay for half a meal i didn't even get to eat. I would've ordered something else but i couldn't order sushi. I tried explaining to the older lady but she refused to listen. The money wasn't the issue the main issue here is the service i had to endure. Rude and disrespectful . I wasn't trying to get a free meal i just wasn't happy with the order. The fact that i wasn't allowed not to like it was something i never experienced before. They were very rude to yell at a customer and treat a customer in that manner. They could've approached it in a different manner. Very disappointed and service is just as important as the quality of food. Don't ever order the hibachi chicken here and BE CAREFUL if you don't like a food you get charged 50% for it and can't send it back!! Their staff needed to get trained on customer service...
Read moreHands down one of the BEST sushi spots I've ever been to. The food is absolutely incredible, and the owners are truly what make this place so special-- they’re not only attentive, but genuinely fun and welcoming. Every visit feels like you're being taken care of by friends who just happen to serve world-class sushi.
I recently celebrated my birthday here, and once again, they went above and beyond to make the night amazing. It’s always busy (because it’s that good), but the energy is high-vibe, upbeat, and just feels good to be there.
The food is consistently outstanding. The Kobe beef served on a hot stone is a must! Tender, flavorful, and fun to cook at the table. I also love the foie gras and sea bass, both of which are prepared beautifully and full of depth. The sushi itself is exceptional! Always fresh, expertly cut, and thoughtfully presented. Beyond that, they offer a variety of unique specialty dishes that make each visit feel like a new experience. Every detail...
Read moreBeen there twice within the same week and had a good experience. The staff is friendly and provide good service. The sushi has by far been the freshest I have had close to the New Haven and Orange area. The resturant is also very cozy and clean. The bathrooms are single stalled, but they're nice and clean.
The rolls are smaller than some other resturants, but they're not too expensive with specialty rolls ranging from $10-12 and regular rolls under $10. Really enjoyed the Golden Dragon Roll, Spider roll, and in general all the other rolls. We ordered over 6 rolls in both visits, so it was hard to remember all the rolls. Had their fried tempura ice cream and it was just ok. They lit it on fire for me, but it was unimpressive since it was colorless. It would have been better if they burned a drink that turned blue like rum.
Will definately come again to check out...
