FUNBOX – New Haven County (Milford) Visited Multiple Times (Most Recently August 2025)
Experience - ~4-5 stars The park itself ~2 stars (based on its current condition)
This review comes in two distinct parts.
First, the experience itself: This place is amazing for kids. Our 5- and 3-year-olds absolutely love it. We first came two years ago and have been repeat customers ever since. They get so excited that they even ask to drive by the mall before it's set up just to see the trucks unloading all the equipment.
The setup is massive and fun, and we love that it’s something active we can enjoy with our kids. As adults who are pretty active ourselves, we genuinely have fun playing on it too. For the experience alone, it's totally worth it.
But... The park itself is really starting to show its age: When we first visited in 2022, everything seemed brand new (were not sure what year was it's first year). The colors were bright, the inflatables were fully blown up, seams and Velcro were secure, and the whole space felt clean and vibrant.
Now, after at least three long seasons (2023, 2024, and 2025), the difference is hard to miss. Everything looks faded and stained. Many pieces are partially deflated, ripped, or patched. Velcro is peeling, surfaces are grimy, and the general ambiance has gone from exciting to a bit worn down. It’s honestly a bit disappointing to see how much the quality has dropped over time.
That said, I totally respect how hard it must be to maintain something of this size. It’s a massive operation and sees a ton of foot traffic, especially from young kids. But the contrast between our photos from two years ago and what it looks like now is pretty stark.
Bottom line: Our kids still love it, and that’s what matters most. Unfortunately , the attraction is no longer the eye-catching, pristine experience it once was. I really hope the owners are planning either a full refresh or a deep overhaul soon. A new setup, major cleaning, and repair work would go a long way.
We will probably be back, because the kids have a blast, but we’re definitely hoping for a version 2.0...
Read moreI was there 7/20/24 with my cousin and our 4 children. We got there a little before the 4:30 session was about to be over so the guy told us he would extend our stay. The 4:30 session were blue bands. The guy gave us purple bands for the 6:00 session. When the 4:30 session was over, we stood because we knew our stay was extended. We saw the workers cleaning, we sat at a table that we saw that got cleaned prior to us sitting after we got our children snow cones. We noticed a few employees, at least 3 of them basically huddling up next to our table wondering and talking about why we didn’t leave yet. Next thing you know, the same guy that we already saw cleaning the same table we sat at after he ALREADY cleaned it, he came back and cleaned it AGAIN while we were sitting there to give us a hint to leave. He sprayed the cleaning spray once, it hit me. He sprayed it the second time it hit me again. After the second spray he said “you guys gotta start heading out.” And I said “we have purple bands”, he walked away to the front, probably asked about us, came back and said “you guys are good my bad.” Mind you our children were eating snow cones/cups, that’s cross contamination with the chemicals from the cleaning supplies going into our kids snow cones while the wind is blowing. That’s damn near $150 worth of a...
Read moreThis place is massive. We went on opening day at 1030am the very first time slot. It has like 6 slides of all levels. It has walls to climb and areas to to take breaks while inside the bounce house. It has a basketball area in the bounce house. It has everything you'd need to tire a kid out for a few to catch a quick break. When you first enter, it's covered in that turf material and has seats all over with tables and chairs. The only food is a snow cone area inside. Otherwise, you'd have to go to the mall or other surrounding food places first. There is plenty of shade. I went in with my wife, my 3 year old, and 11 months old, and we had a blast. The entire bounce place is sealed off with only 1 way in that's open. All the emergency exits are sealed but could be pushed open with velcro holding, but there are staff all over to help and protect and guide. For the price of it, this is definitely worth the 75 minutes that you'll be able to jump because the last 15 minutes is where the staff clean and inspect for possible repairs. We needed this in Connecticut. If they were able to put this indoors permanently, it would be a hot spot for kids and adults because I'm 32 and I was in there flipping having fun too. Don't let that inner kid die and...
