Had an appointment to get my two rear tires changed for 6PM on July 12th, 2023. Called the day before to confirm my appointment, and was rudely told by a female employee in the auto care center "You don't have an appointment, I cannot help you. Call 1-800-Walmart." as she abruptly hung up in my face. I immediately did as she suggested, calling 1-800-Walmart to get my appointment straightened out. The woman who answered the phone apologized to me for the auto care employees rude behavior, and assured me that my appointment was all set for the next day. I asked for reassurance before hanging up, since she didn't seem very confident, and she promised me that everything was going to be all set for the next day.
When I showed up the next day, I was told they wouldn't be able to take me because all of the auto technicians were going home for the day. I was in utter shock. Why was I allowed to schedule an appointment for 6PM THREE DAYS in advance if they weren't going to be able to help me at that time. I drove 45 minutes on a spare tire because this was the closest Walmart to me that changed tires. When the manager came out, he said that he didn't see my appointment in their system, and that they were having trouble all week with the appointment system. If the appointment system was having difficulties, why did they not tell me that when I called the day before.
After showing the manager in the auto care center proof of my appointment on my Walmart app, and giving him my order number, he went to his computer and did some digging. After finally admitting that I had an appointment for 6PM, and it wasn't just a figment of my imagination, he sternly told me that my tires were in Kentucky. So first, there isn't anybody there to change my tires, then my appointment doesn't exist, and now this man is standing there with a straight face, telling me they don't even have the tires!!! You cannot make this up.
After apologizing to me, the manager told me there was nothing they could do for me. This company has become the largest company in the world, surpassing amazon, and somehow this is how they operate. I cannot believe the treatment I have received. It makes me physically sick that they can get away with this. Do yourselves a big favor and steer far away from this...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreDrama drama drama.. Iāve been going here for years, but unfortunately theyāve gone downhill. And after the incident today this is/was my last time. Half the time I get foods itās expired or thereās some major issue. Such as one of my purchases smelling like pesticides. Theyāll claim online to have dozens of something but not have it in the store. And every time I go to the self checkout line Iām careful to have less than 15 items⦠but they always have to say something accusatory, that I have to many items. And proceed to try and kick me out of the line. Today I was scanning my items. Very careful to make sure I got all 12 things scanned. Hearing the beep and looking at the screen. The computer did seem to be acting a little weird (not reading my chip but scanning fine) but it appeared I had scanned everything accordingly. I paid. And admittedly the bill looked a little light in hindsight but not enough to elicit me noticing. I got the receipt. Didnāt check it, my bad. But when I got the the checker guy we realized my receipt only showed 6 items. He raised his voice to me without me raising mine calling me out on having more items in the cart than the receipt said. I verbally agreed with him and told him Iād check the app. But he was still being a dick to me despite my compliance. Security came detained me. Which was fine I donāt blame them for a second. Hell, I even encouraged them to check the camerasā¦. This was a machine error. I overheard them saying to each other. Instead of admitting it I got a āmaybe you were in a rush and missed a few thingsā. No apologies, no benefit of the doubt. I was treated like a criminal. Worse thing was the guy who was raising his voice to me was watching me scan everything initially! The dude knew and still was being a dick to me. I paid the difference noting their machine initially tried to charge me twice for a thing of laundry detergent. And worse, when I looked the receipt I got the second time it was still off⦠thank the lord they didnāt try to detain...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreUPDATE to earlier post that you will see at the bottom; I went back to Milford, CT store with the old battery. It looks like someone from Walmart corp emailed them or they read this post. They were aware of the situation. Mgr Mike stepped in and solved the problem. They refunded the money I just paid for the new battery. He agreed that it was not handled correctly at their battery/tire dept. I am happy with the solution even tough I believe it didn't have to go through this, they wasted my time and gas money with back & forth. Still mgr Mike was nice! Thank you Mike and the lady with curly hair at customer service !
Bought EverStart Maxx H8 battery 2 years ago and it came with 3yrs warranty. Battery died in 2 years before warranty expired. I took it back to store this weekend but, they refused to exchange it nor give me any refund nor any discount for a new battery. I ended up buying a new battery with full price. I took my old dead battery with me that 3 years warranty displayed on it. Their excuse was they don't carry the exact same battery anymore. They now carry EverStart Platinum H8 battery which is slightly different so, since it is not the exact/identical same battery, they cannot exchange nor give me any refund. Basically, they punish customer because they don't sell exact same product and their warranty depends on selling the same item now or not!! What a non-sense practice ! Don't be fooled by walmart's warranty terms. I called their customer service too but no one wants to listen. They just said they will email it corporate and they will contact me but, no contact....
