I am furious. I knew buying a Sleep Number was a bad decision but I went against my better judgement and gave it a try in 2020. The bed has had nothing but issues since I bought it. Over 5k on a mattress that Sleep Number will do nothing to help you with. Every person you speak to is horribly rude and doesn’t document anything. You end up spending hours on the phone and get hung up on. The warranty is a joke. IT COVERS NOTHING!!!!! You end up having to pay for everything and all these technicians come out and they will tell you it’s defective but they still won’t replace the bed. My bed is defective. Very single technician has said it’s not leaking, losing air, have holes or chamber issues but it’s just defective. I am not in the battle with Stage IV cancer as a young mother to my son. I just wanted my bed to be in perfect working order so I can be comfortable. That’s why I spent almost $6k on a mattress. I have dealt with nothing but awful customer service representatives and a supervisor that won’t help. In fact the female supervisor I spoke with said Sleep Number will never fix or replace the mattress I might as well buy a new one, then I was hung up on. It says in the warranty if the bed can’t be fixed it will be replaced up to 15 years. So i’m confused why a supervisor would say that. Is this how we treat your customers? Your sick customers? I have stage IV cancer and I’m being expected to try and mess with this mattress and fix it. I’m supposed to spend money to have all these parts bought when it’s not even 4 years old. What’s the point of a 15 year warranty? Sleep Numbers warranty is prorated so they don’t even cover 50 percent of what’s wrong. This is wrong. I shouldn’t have to go through this. No one should, but as a young dying mother I absolutely should not. I just want to enjoy whatever time I have left and be comfortable as I am so sick on my mattress and I was just told I should consider the money I spent wasted as Sleep Number will never do anything to rectify it. I am so disgusted. I am going to post this everywhere. I want everyone to know this is how Sleep Number treats their sick customers who have spent all this money to just rest easy. Read moreI purchased a sleep number in 2016. In 2020 the left sag started to really sag and the corners were all going in. I called in May 2022 and was told the warrantee was pro rated so I had to purchase what they said was the problem a foam topper for inside the mattress. I did and paid 250 for it. That did not work and eventually I called again. In september I called and told them that it was still very saggy and corners were all going down and he sent me an air chamber and said if that doesnt work I would have to call back and get the pillow top mattress part. The top of the bed. He explained only 45% would be covered under warrantee and I was ok with that. Well in November I called the number back very upset because my daughter just died. She was only 30. I told the girl I was calling to replace the pillow top part and on top of everything my dog chewed a part of it while the police were in my house to tell us the news. She then told me that now that I told her about the dog the entire warrantee was now voided i would need to pay full price. I explained that i could not afford that and this has been an on going issue if she would just read the notes. She said she didnt care because the dog voids the warantee. Not very sympathetic. I called back and spoke to a manger and she said sorry because I told her about the dog it was not covered. SHe said she would give me 20% off. that is not fair.... I should have 45% off because this was ongoing. I was just telling the truth. the little bite mark on the side is not hurting my back... the sagging is.

Many mistakes were made like claiming I took items home that I never had taken, wrong headboard was ordered that I ultimately cancelled along with other items on my order. Dealt with different customer care representatives for over 2 hours because they didn’t know how to handle the revisions of my order so they would disconnect me and force me to call back and tell my issues all over again to 3 different representatives. Teresa from the corporate office was not nice to deal with. Telling me I had to keep the headboard even though it was only ordered the day before and of course never delivered. Plus I had 72 hours in the state of CT to cancel any retail order I make. Threatening me with legal action. Not a nice person at all. I regretted walking into the store. Knowledge of the product wasn’t what I expected, two salespeople had conflicting reviews of the dual temp cover and the confusing displays on the floor made you feel you are getting the base and heating element of the mattress when you are not. Not happy the way I was treated by Teresa from the corporate office on the phone. Just not a good experience at all. After reading other reviews and the treatment of Teresa I have decided to cancel the entire order except for one dual temperature cover. Because of all this the sale went from $8000 to $850.
