Napoli Deli — Restaurant in Milford

If you’re not white I wouldn’t recommend stepping foot in this establishment. My boyfriend and I ordered two sandwiches, I took a bite of mine and didn’t enjoy it and wanted to see if it could be exchanged for another. My boyfriend went back and explained to the woman at the counter that he just ordered and paid for the sandwich but wasn’t happy with it, and wanted to get another if possible or a refund would be fine. She asked what was wrong with it and he explained that I wasn’t a fan of the deli meat and wanted to get a chicken cutlet sandwich. There was a dollar difference, so we were happy to pay the difference if needed. She took the sandwich from him and said that it was fine and would do the exchange. My boyfriend went to the car to wait since it was a hot sandwich. When he came back in she looked at him and said it’ll be $13.50. My boyfriend was obviously confused and politely reminded her she said they could do an exchange. He would happily pay the difference but wasn’t going to pay another $13 when he just paid $12 and she took the old sandwich back. She proceeded to tell him she wasn’t going to do it just because he didn’t like it and he had to pay. My boyfriend once again told her that she agreed to it and they already had his money and his original sandwich. She repeated she wasn’t going to do it. My boyfriend now upset started to raise his voice, the owner then came out and asked what was going on. He explained the situation, obviously unhappy. The owner told him just take the sandwich and don’t ever come back. The woman then threatened to call the cops. I think it’s important to mention my boyfriend is a black man. I honestly believe this whole interaction wouldn’t have happened the way it did if it wasn’t for this fact. And I’ll happily never step foot in there again, Jersey Mikes is 10x better than this racist whole...

The food is good don't get me wrong! But they are blaming the huge price hike on their sub menu on Tariff's according to the girl behind the counter..lol! I asked which country are you suffering tariffs from and she had no response!! Seriously?? $18.95 for a steak & cheese sub with onions mushrooms with a water...I asked for no salt and it's way too salty to the point of throwing it away! I was there a couple of times last year and it was awesome. It's so unprofessional and COMPLETE BS IF YOU ASK ME! Appearently I'm not the only idiot complaining about the price goudging! And the tariff's line gotta go! I'll never go back! I'll be sure to spread the word out the rest of the car world I'm in! Tariffs!! Nobody is suffering from tariffs since they don't exist yet! Typical...

This is my FAVORITE place to get the best coffee in Milford and delicious sandwiches like they were handed over the counter to me in NYC.

**It's fun to watch people come in and order their favorites. **Everyone there is genuine and friendly, they make my visits fun with conversation. **They keep this place clean and tidy, qualities a look for in my food establishments. **Thank you Craig and team for always remembering my special request for an inch of milk with my coffee.
