I have been coming to Bagel Street Cafe for years now, me and my family. We are locals here in San Bruno, I am 59 years old born and raised in Millbrae. A few locals and I have experienced rude behavior from an Employee. Amed Laura, who claims she is the manager. Today 1/6/24 I came in to order a bagel and coffee, my morning was going great until I came in contact with Laura. As unpaid for my order and went to go grab my coffee there were four coffee containers empty, I merely informed Laura that there was no coffee and that they had four containers empty, merely to get some coffee and so that the next person in lines to come would not encounter the same problem. Laura was rude, she screamed at me and told me “Mam” I will make you coffee, stop complaining. As you can imagine I was shocked and merely replied to her with “ Well I wouldn’t have to ask you if there was coffee already made for customers” there are literally four empty containers out here. So as I was waiting for my coffee, another customer told her the coffee was out as he tried to get coffee himself and she waked up to me and told me she would refund me my money and gave me back my money and told me I could go elsewhere to grab coffee. It was so embarrassing and humiliating I have told all my family and friends to stop going to this business because of Laura. Bagel street cafe should hire a new manager and until then they have lost...
Read moreI want to try new things, but not just for the sake of trying something new. Like I've never thrown a crayon at my car before. I haven't done this because I haven't seen the value in it, but maybe I'm being too close minded. Throwing a crayon at my car could give me the perspective I need. Maybe I'm not throwing crayons at my car because deep down I'm scared about what I'll learn about myself if I do. Or I'm not doing it because I'm scared about what others might think. It's not common place to see a grown man throwing crayons at his vehicle. Anyway, when I saw that this place had an oreo cookie bagel, it felt a little like throwing crayons at a car. It would have been a new experience for me, but I don't think it would have added value. I could be wrong, maybe I'll try it next time. I ended up getting what I always get, a veggie breakfast bagel. It...
Read moreAnother " weird " review. I understand that it's a lot harder to please a chef but is being served a chicken salad sandwich where one doesn't need an electron microscope to see the chicken salad really asking too much? I am sure they have vegetarian options so if I wanted something vegetarian, I would have asked for it. As for that tiny bit of chicken salad- I liked the idea of using shredded carrots but they ruined a wonderful fresh idea by using way too much of those carrots. So I can only recommend the bagels themselves- they are truly delicious! Just get a dozen bagels and do your own sandwiches or just use them with your basic cream cheese- yes, they're that good. There is really not much more to say. Another...
