Cafe Istanbul — Restaurant in Millbrae

My friend and I stopped by for a quick dinner before dropping him off at the airport. Great location for that purpose, two minutes off 101 with plenty of parking options. The restaurant was spotlessly clean, including the bathroom. They have a good selection of tasty food for people with dietary restrictions. They are also helpful when it comes to substituting items. The server lady was very kind and chatty, which is always nice. I had the appetizer combo plate that was amazing - the falafel was extraordinary! My friend had a meat wrap and he loved it so much. It was a very satisfying and fulfilling dinner, we left with a smile. :) Oh, and the service was fast- which is important when you are about to catch your flight. :) Thank...

Tucked around the corner, you must look for it...you won't be disappointed. I had the lamb/beef gyro and it was excellent. Full of thick meat (not the thin stuff). Very large portions of meat inside. The flavor was excellent and the veggies inside crisp and fresh. I was thinking to myself that this place is about the same price as Chipotle, but you get about double the amount of meat and better tasting. Then my mind started thinking about the long line of people typically at the In-N-Out. You get way more for your money here and you don't have to pay separately for fries.

I will definitely be back to try more...

Located in the same little shopping area as In & Out and Panera, just around the corner is a great option off the beaten path. The food at Cafe Istanbul was excellent, and at a reasonable price (considering the area). Our party enjoyed the Lamb and Beef Gyro wrap and the Falafel Wrap. The fries were as expected, but tasty, but the wraps were excellent. The wraps were grilled to perfection and, I am told, the falafel was simply amazing.

The interior of the restaurant is a bit basic, and the music was, maybe, a bit too loud. But the food was so good, we can easily...
