Let me preface this by saying that I'm not from New Jersey originally so I do not have the local bias. I've also traveled and eaten a lot of different pizza in my life. I just had lunch here and it was quite possibly the best pizza I've ever eaten, and this is not an exaggeration. The crust was a nice, even thickness and doneness throughout, with the edges just starting to get that light singe on them from the oven. The sauce and crushed tomatoes were clearly high quality and had perfect seasoning and texture. The vegetables (bell peppers, onions) were cooked nicely, softened but still with enough snap to provide texture. The soppresata was perfectly seasoned and not overly salty. The cheese was perfectly proportioned throughout the whole pizza and didn't overwhelm the toppings. Up to this point, my experience with pizza in New Jersey had been largely underwhelming, with most places making me say "this was good pizza, but nothing special and doesn't live up to the classic Jersey hype". Fiamma is only the second joint I've eaten at in New Jersey to live up to this hype. Aside from the food quality which was exceptional, the service was VERY quick and friendly (arrived around 12:30pm on a Tuesday so it was during a normal lunch rush), and the prices were respectable for what you...

Disappointing Service Despite Great Food

We used to come here all the time, so while visiting family at the hospital, we decided to stop by for a trip down memory lane. The food is still as amazing as we remembered, but unfortunately, the current staff left much to be desired. From the moment we arrived, the service was abrupt and unfriendly.

We requested a simple bucket of ice for our BYOB, which was forgotten. When we politely asked a second waitress, she seemed annoyed by the request. We even felt the need to compliment her just to ease the tension. Toward the end of our visit, the staff began clearing our table without even asking if we were finished. They removed our wine bottle from the bucket, assuring us there was nothing left—when in fact, we still had wine. We had to ask for cups just to finish it.

This all happened on 10/22 from 7:15-8:30 pm. Management, please ensure that no one else has to experience such a negative encounter. Great food deserves great...

I assume I just spoke with the Owner - I placed an order for delivery an hour back and with my kids allergy to dairy asked if they would accept a large Margherita order with half of it with no cheese and add pepperoni with the other half regular margherita. The lady gladly accepted the order. When I got down to serving the pizza I see the pepperoni is on the side with the cheese. I called and the person who picked up first asks me if I explained my order correctly in the first place, second his offer is I cannot do anything tonight to serve your daughter dinner (it was still 15 mins to their official close time) but you come pick it up tomorrow if you want it ‘on the house’ so you can check if it’s done right. I told him I will never order from them again (I was a regular). Pitiful and all I’ll say is if you have kids with allergy - skip this place they place no trust in themselves to deliver right! And the attitude is just...

One of my co-workers recommended this place to me. She said it's almost or the closest thing to Arturo's, which I haven't eaten there yet. I love the Wood Fire pizza, it gives a smokey flavor to the pizza and the pizza is always the perfect texture. Out of the three main pizzerias, I went to I would say I like this the best because its casual and comfortable and the staff is super friendly and always checking on you. I had the LoBello individual pizza, it's so freaking good. I love the spicy garlic oil, which isn't spicy at all its extremely mild. This is coming from a person who's eaten habaneros or ghost peppered flavored things. The dry salami is so good too, which is on top of the pizza. I plan to go there again to try something new.

Hunting the Best Pizza in Essex County NJ on the Pizza Hunters App with Speed by Chuck Mound. This place came highly recommended by a few different sources. Really like the awning and the overall branding. I did not like the lack of interaction upon walking in the Pizzeria. Was not welcoming at all. Just interested in taking you order and money. Which brings me to Value. A small 12 inch Pizza was almost $15. Very little Sauce and Cheese. The Pizza itself was all about the Crust. The Pizza was not firm. It was tasty, but would not put it as the top in a Pizza Category. Was expecting so much more for a place that touts themselves as one of the Best in the State. Disapointed.

The service was exceptional, above and beyond our expectations. We chose to sit outside, not anticipating such excellent treatment, but they made sure we didn't have to wait for anything. They constantly checked to ensure we were enjoying our meal and that we could have anything we wanted. The food exceeded my expectations; the Eggplant Parmigiana was delightfully crispy, and the marinara sauce was pretty good too. My friend ordered a goat cheese and pear salad, and they really enjoyed it as well. Overall, it was a great experience, and I would definitely go again. I'd rate it 4 out of 5 stars.
