Love this place! I have been wanting to visit for a while and finally stopped in. The store is not big but don't let that turn you off if you're the kind of book lover who loves to get lost roaming the stacks (to be honest, I visit a bunch of bookstores, and I appreciated that this one was smaller, well organized, and uncluttered. Sometimes independent bookstores are just covered in books everywhere and that can seem overwhelming. While I love books it was nice to just see an awesome selection displayed really well). Like I said, I am impressed by their selection (especially horror - which is often under represented), and feel that the books are very well chosen and displayed. It is obvious the owners thought about the store layout because the genres are organized well and I found it enjoyable to walk around and browse. Also that best seller wall is just beautiful and a gem to look at if you're a book lover. Definitely...

A cosy bookstore with great ambiance and a friendly, accommodating owner and bookseller. Although a small bookstore, staff are knowledgeable about a variety of classic and new authors in a variety of genres and age groups. They are more than willing to order any book if it’s not in stock and the wait is usually just a few days. Book orders can be picked up in front of the store, or staff can even walk up to your car and give you your purchases through your car window. But true bookstore lovers, if wearing a mask and keeping proper distance from other customers, should come inside and enjoy this small oasis of calm. Please support your local bookstores, because you know you’re purchasing from people who REALLY love books and...

I only learned about this shop for the first time the day before it closed it's doors forever. I was out the next day and I thought that if I didn't go in and check it out, I would regret it for the rest of my life. So I went and purchased a whole bagful of books. I've lived in the area for sixteen years and had I known about this bookstore, I would have been a regular. I love getting lost in bookstores of any size and I love going to small, local ones. I'm sad that the first time I went was on its last day. I wish the owners and staff luck on whatever...

Cozy local bookstore with a cafe, event space, and character! I’ve driven and walked last here a few times and only recently walked in. It immediately felt like a cozy place to read or browse. That said I can imagine it getting easily crowded because they’re not very big! But there is a bit of seating as well as a small cafe. Cool to see they host various events. Being someone who grew up spending hundreds of hours across Barnes & Noble and Borders, I’m glad to see bookstores still hanging in there.

The Book House has reopened with new, local owners! It's the same "main street" local Book shop you remember, stocking a wide variety of books and subject matter. When I was there, they had free (and delicious) cookies and coffee. Staff are friendly. Neighborhood is iconic (they're around the corner from the playhouse). Everyone says they want a neighborhood book store and then buys on Amazon, so get off your device and browse The Book House. You'll be supporting a local small business!

You can smell the books when you enter ❤️ the ambiance is amazing. They also have trinkets, bookmarks, games, funny decor, greeting cards, etc. It was a pleasure. Very few of these precious sanctuaries are left around with everything online and the pandemic. These places help to explore and find new gems. Support your local businesses.
