Brabo Pizza offers some very good Brazilian pizza. The staff is very friendly and the atmosphere is very nice.
Overall, it feels like Brabo Pizza is trying to make eating pizza an ultra fancy dining experience.
The pizza is tasty and made/presented in a different/little more fancy way than you'd experience at a typical Brazilian pizza parlor. That being said, it's still Brazilian pizza.
The staff were helpful and quickly seated us despite not having a reservation. Once we ordered, they only came by the table again to deliver our food or if we pushed the little button the edge of the table. They were efficient and kept to themselves unless "summoned" (for lack of a better word).
The atmosphere, while very nice, is more akin to what you'd expect in a fancy Italian restaurant than a Brazilian pizza parlor/restaurant. Everything from the menus (with backlit pages and leather covers) and the cups (one for water, wine, and other beverages) to the leather chairs and waiters' uniforms and equipment felt fancy.
Overall, it's a very nice presentation, but because of how "fancy" everything was, it didn't really feel like we were having a Brazilian pizza dining experience or even close anything my wife, daughter, or I have ever experienced eating Brazilian pizza in Brazil or in the US.
Brazilian pizza is delicious, but it's not an ultra fancy dish. Brabo Pizza's attempt to make it so actually took away from its authenticity as a Brazilian culinary experience because it's just not what you would experience eating Brazilian pizza virtually anywhere else. The level of fanciness feels forced and over the top and not really appropriate or conducive for eating pizza. We noticed some other patrons also appeared a little confused with the set up.
One thing that partially surprised us was that Brabo Pizza didn't have ketchup or maionese available to put on the pizza (which is a staple for eating Brazilian pizza). Although they did offer and provide us with marinara sauce and an assortment of different peppers, spices, and seasonings (another example of fancy but not your typical Brazilian pizza eating experience).
Another aspect worth noting is that the plates provided at the tables have a grainy texture to them. Once you put pizza on them and use your fork and knife to cut it you'll really notice this. It feel a little like cutting food that is lying on rough sand paper. It's a strange sensation that wasn't very enjoyable.
Brabo Pizza offers a high-end dining experience. The pizza is quite good and pretty faithful to what you'd find in Brazil, but the fancy atmosphere is not typical of Brazilian pizza dining and may do more harm than good. Definitely worth checking out if you are a fan of...
Read moreThe owner came to my house to pick a fight with me in front of my kids.
I ordered 2 pizzas for $80 and made a goof on the address with a very similar one. I called as soon as I got the text they were delivered and they weren't at the door. I explained my mistake, the hostess talked to her boss and came back to say it was my fault so... sorry.. but... No discount offered. No willingness to contact the driver in the off chance he could salvage the order. I said that's messed up they were keeping the full $80, profits and all and wouldn't be amenable in any way. I said I would ask Amex to help void the charge. The pizzas were delivered to a 7/11 in my neighborhood where no employees could have been mistaken to have my name. She called back 5 minutes later and said they'd send me some new pizzas. She apologized and I responded to say no, it was my fault and I appreciate them accommodating me.
When the pizzas came I smiled and said thank you. The person that delivered them was the owner. He didn't smile, greet me, or act cordially. Instead he immediately began stirring the pot again, pointing out I put the wrong address in, I should have double checked the address in the email confirmation (there is no address in the email actually), how dare I give the hostess a hard time, etc, etc. He pressed me to respond to his questions. When I did, he started talking over me. Things were escalating so I stopped myself and said if he just came to argue, he could keep the pizzas and I'll just leave a review. He snatched them from my hands and stormed off before I even finished my sentence. My hungry toddler was super upset by the situation and watched in horror as he walked to his car with the food while we shouted at each other.
Let this sink in: The owner came to an upset customer's home, with a rehearsed list of things he wanted to say to prove he was right and I was wrong. The second I opened the door, I could see the gears turning in this guys head, trying to recall all the things he wanted to say to me. Until I aired my grievances on the phone, there was no willingness to give me the smallest refund, let alone refill the order. If he was trying to make things right, he wouldn't have began telling me off when I answered the door. He didn't show me an ounce of respect in my own home in front of my kids. Don't give your business with someone who treats people this way. If this behavior is normalized, someday you might in a similar situation.
If he wants to dispute or discredit me, I can put...

If you are American and you have never tried Brazilian pizza you should go here to try it! You won't be disappointed.
As far as the food, we haven't tried their pasta yet, but their pizza is absolutely delicious. The Calabrese pizza was filled with very high quality and fresh ingredients. They use a really good quality Calabrese sausage with lots of flavor. The chicken supreme is pizza had lots of flavor and the chicken was not dry at all. I found a lot of the time other places that make this pizza will usually over cook it and the chicken ends up very dry. So far my favorite pizza I have tried, which truly speaks to their ingredient quality because it's a more plain pizza, is the Quattro Formaggi. Oh my God this pizza is good. At first when I saw there was gorgonzola, I kind of thought it would be weird, but it adds just the perfect amount of funk to the pizza that compliments the saltiness of the other cheeses. It's so good! It's better than any pizza I had in Brazil.
From the outside the building looks like a very plain little commercial building, but wow they have done an amazing job decorating the inside. It is so beautiful and chic inside! The first time we had Brabo we ordered take out, and when I walked inside to pick it up I thought I walked into the wrong place. I was expecting a little pizza place, but it is so fancy and nice inside! Again, good job with the decor.
The service was also top notch. Everyone there was very welcoming and kind.
Overall this is definitely the best place to try Brazilian pizza and we can't wait to come back and try some of their...
