We have been going to Margaritas for several years 2-3 times a month. In the past, we look forward to getting our Toco Roc Plate fix. However, last night was unlike any experience we’ve ever had! Our waiter could barely communicate with us. We always order a pitcher of margaritas to split while taking our time eating dinner. When the pitcher of margaritas came out it was full to the brim with ice and as we took our first sip, it was clear that there was very little (it any) alcohol in it. We contemplated complaining but after the third sip and discussing the amount that it cost, we decided it was necessary. As we look up to get our waiter’s attention, low and behold the “manager” was already at the table next to us hearing their complaints of the same issue of their margaritas not having alcohol in them. We spoke up and said that we were having the same issue. The “manager” (whose name we later learned to be is Jesus) basically laughed at all of us and was arguing with the guests at the table next to us. I literally couldn’t believe that a manager would be so arrogant and smug to multiple people complaining about the same issue. Jesus assured us that they were made with plenty of alcohol, because he made them and TASTED them. Ha! Then the assistant manager explained to us that we would need to order the Texas Margarita ($33! twelve dollars more than the house) to get the taste of the tequila. NEVER has been the case in all the years we have been going to Las Margaritas. So we sent the house margarita pitcher back and order the “Texas Margarita” pitcher. When it came out the pitcher was only 3/4 full and cost $33! THEN, our food came out and it was only one of our orders. We ordered TWO Toco Roc plates and only one came out. On a rush, Fifteen minutes later the second plate came out. We ate one of our tacos. drank the margs and decided to pack everything up to go. We couldn’t wait to get out of there. We will NOT be back! I would appreciate it if the corporate office would reply with a direct line of contact so that I can elaborate more about...
Read moreTLDR: Go to Los Reyes. It is MUCH better quality and there are a number of good English speakers there who can answer questions when necessary.
One person ordered a wet burrito with chicken, one person ordered a taco salad with chicken, and one person ordered a dinner of 2 beef soft tacos, 1 quesadilla, and double rice. All the food was cold for one. The person who ordered the wet burrito did like theirs, it tasted fine. The taco salad was barely a salad; it is at least 85% dry shredded chicken which is difficult to eat. No flavor, not good. The beef soft tacos AND quesadilla were very small as well as cold. Our waitress never came back to refill our drinks the entire time we were there and actively stood there and watched us while we sat and looked around waiting for our check. We also tried to ask in general if they were having some kind of special for veterans day. Unfortunately, our waitress did not understand a word we said and when she went to grab someone else to hear our question, he also did not understand us. We never got someone to the table who could understand us to get an answer to the question. Nothing against them, I know not everyone there speaks English. However, I think it is important that if there is something not being understood, a good English-speaker should be grabbed in order to be able to...
Read moreBad experience from the very beginning. First we got sat next to a party of atleast 50. 90% were very drunk adults. We got moved to a booth across the restaurant. There was still the distant hootin & hollerin, but we could deal with that. Then it took our waitress 10 minutes just to greet us. Once she showed, she didn't smile, she didn't do as a server should do. We told her we were ready to order but I assume she didn't hear us because she walked away (after forgetting our cheese dip for the second time). She came back & finally took our order. Very easy modifications & we always get the exact same thing every time (California burrito, only cheese sauce & whatever comes inside it). It comes out wrong but I try to eat it anyway considering I was starving. But after one bite, I couldn't do it. My boyfriend spoke to the waitress while I went to the restroom. He told her the correct order & asked for it to-go. While leaving, we had to sit in reverse for over minutes because the crazy party that was inside, was now outside & causing chaos. I don't have a horn, although I don't think I would have honked anyway. That was a lot of big chick's & I'm 105lb. #KO This is not a review bashing the restaurant, this is me explaining that our server was not professional at all & now I know where not to go on drink...
