Great Clips — Local services in Millington

DO NOT (I repeat) DO NOT get your hair cut here! The quality of service is despicable. The staff has literally no clue how to cut hair, as you can see from the photos. I normally cut my own kid's hair, but I wanted a quick cut for both as we are visiting from out of town. BIG MISTAKE. And my kids sit very still for haircuts, so the horrible cuts were not due to them wiggling.

The older lady cut my daughter's hair and made her bangs look like Lord Farquuad from Shrek. My son's fade is ridiculous, I do it better at home and I'm not a stylist. I fully believe this Great Clips hired people that barely passed cosmetology school! The older lady argued with me and said I was being charged for a haircut for my daughter. ABSOLUTELY NOT!!! Well she did was a bang trim, and clearly she did a horrible job at it. I was furious!

I should have known what service I'd be getting by how empty the establishment was when I entered. The younger "stylist" was confused when I said "skin fade to finger length on top" for my son's hair. She asked if I wanted clippers used. Well DUH, how else will you do a fade. Definitely won't be going back. Took my 6yr old in for a new cut before school started and walked out disappointed. The haircut was not what we asked for. He wanted a hard part, top longer to spike, sides tight. We go no hard part, top way to short, and sides a little long. On top of getting the wrong cut, the stylist clipped my sons ear (he was bleeding) and didnt tell us until she was done. She said she nicked a bug bite with her clippers but then proceeded to show us that the clippers are safe and wouldn't break skin. After wiping blood away, it was clear it was done with the scissors. My son was even saying he felt it and she still proceeded to show that the clippers were safe. There was no apologies, just her trying to not take blame for cutting his ear. I've been going to Great Clips for awhile now. First in Bartlett and now in Millington. I have never had a bad experience. Ever. I received a haircut just the other day and the old manager from Bartlett is now the new Manager in Millington. Apparently, there are some bad reviews from the previous staff and so my friend and new manager at the Millington store asked me to post a review of my latest experience at the Millington Great Clips. Love the store and was excited to see my old friend from Bartlett taking over in Millington. I'm positive any previous issues will be cleaned up and fixed. I highly recommend the Millington Great Clips and whoever brought the old Bartlett manager to Millington made a wise choice. I will be back and see you guys in...
