ALDI — Local services in Millington

I love the prices and the environment of the store but my most recent trip has made me want to never go back. Every single produce item I bought was rotten on the inside. I get avocados all the time from Walmart and I just do the squish test to see if some are ripe and then I buy. Well in the bag I bought, it felt like half were ripe and half were still in the process. Except when I got home, I opened one and it was rotten so I opened another and it was rotten and then I did it to all of them, and they were all completely unusable and rotten. I also bought 2 mangos, somehow both rotten. I bought 2 heads of iceberg lettuce, both of them looked and felt good. Got home and peeled back the first layer of lettuce, and oh my dear Jesus the smell was ridiculous. I will continue to shop at Aldi’s for deli, frozens, and snacks but I really wish they would do something about this. There were a few other produce items that were just incredibly disappointing, and I hate that I wasted money on food I can not eat. This is not the first time the produce there has been bad, it was just my first big order from aldi, so it was way more noticeable and I’m unable to look passed it anymore. If anyone does look at these reviews, I highly recommend you get your produce from Kroger or Walmart so you don’t end up wasting your money. This review is for Aldi Pickup, and NOT for in-store shopping (which is fantastic.)

We tried placing a pickup order earlier in the year, and had a bad experience. I forget the details but we figured the place is new and they need some time to get things settled.

We decided to try again this past week, and it did not go well.

They were late with the order because they said there wasn't an available shopper, so we had to go pick it up a few hours later.

Fourteen of the items I attempted to purchase were not in stock, necessitating a second grocery trip to another store.

I was not informed of the bag fee until after I had placed the order.

Several items were bad and had to be tossed: tomatoes were green, bananas blackened and mushy, avocado completely rotten.

I have not found anywhere designed to allow me to leave a review about my experience.

In-store shopping has always been fabulous, don't get me wrong, but pickup...

My visit to Aldi on 6\22/24 ended in a bad experience. As I tried using the self checkout I encountered a problem and hit the HELP button. In a few minutes a tall young man walked up to the one register that has an employee check you out and shouted at me from across the aisle if I needed help. I said yes and he asked what the problem was which i answered the checkout procedure. He shouted at me again that he needed to know exactly what I needed him to do. Told him if I knew that I would not be asking help. By this time other customers were watching as one lady yelled at him to go see what I needed. He got snippy with her also.
