We came in and were greeted. We signaled for the bar because we passed by seeing a sign that stated " 2-4-1 Margaritas and Sake". I specifically asked the server for the 2-4-1 Margaritas that's on the sign. She never mentioned I had to make a food purchase. The drinks were super sweet and pricey, might I add. The small Margaritas were priced at $10 individually and the house tequila shots we ordered were about the same, but since the Margaritas were 2-4-1, we figured no biggie... Great deal! Nope!! The server came back around and stated did you want to order some food? We both declined respectfully. Shortly afterwards, she brought us our check that showed $60. We were blown. I asked why was it so expensive if the sign says 2-4-1. She seemed confused because her English wasn't very good. I said the sign outside says 2-4-1. She stated she didn't know, let her go check. She came back and brought someone with her. When asked why our drinks were so expensive, the manager stated you have to order a meal to get the 2-4-1s. I replied that the sign outside doesn't say that. He said well the owner is the same owner as Margaritas, and they have the same sign. I stated I've been in there several times and they honor 2-4-1s without a meal (I'm a bar regular). He then proceeds to say that I should've checked the sign near the front door. I stated well, I did that as well. Nothing said I had to purchase a meal. In fact, it was also "Ladies Night" which stated 2-4-1s as well. The manager then stated not that sign, but the one behind the cashier/host desk. When leaving it was in very small writing far behind them, 2-4-1s..... With a meal purchase. The manager went back and forth with us for the longest. What happened to the customer being right? If there's a gigantic sign outside of the restaurant with NO disclaimer, a large sign in front of the desk with NO disclaimer, who in the heck is going to check behind a clerk's head and look for a very small disclaimer?! This establishment is very pathetic and we won't be returning. The signs and the establishment definitely gave FALSE ADVERTISEMENT and the drinks were even good. Keep it moving elsewhere if you're looking for good drinks and a great time.

Read moreMy experience at this establishment was surely a rollercoaster ride. We were greeted by very friendly staff as soon as we walked in and were seated fairly quickly. This place has only been open for a week so it was expected that not many people would be present. The waitress was very friendly as well and started taking orders for our drinks. As I searched through the menu, I was astounded by the lack of Mexican options considering that it is a Mexican/Japanese fusion restaurant. It wasn't a huge deal since I was only there to test out the hibachi and sushi. Everyone at the table ordered some form of hibachi as I had ordered the shrimp hibachi. As soon as I was brought this plate of questions, I knew it was going to be an interesting lunch. The shrimp was drowned in some brown, watery sauce that had no flavor. Couldn't tell if my shrimp was alive and needed water to breathe still considering it looked cooked on my plate but was sitting in a puddle of Question Mark Sauce. The vegetables were soggy and the broccoli had a weird, unnatural taste to them. The fried rice was decent if you added a healthy serving of soy sauce. From looks around the table, the steak and chicken hibachi looked like it had been sitting out under a heat lamp and drying out since last night. Not even the color of the steak looked decent so now I'm confused as to what roadkill was used for today's lunch service. The only enjoyable thing about this establishment was the 90s/Early 2000s music choice, but did not match the vibe of this mexican looking restaurant. Even the Kids were pop, lockin and droppin to a variety of music ranging from Candy Shop by 50 cent, to Soulja boy hits. If you seem to have no other options on where to eat one day, I would not even recommend this place. Save yourself the bubble guts and eat a sandwich at home. As for the person who left a 5 star review, get your taste...
Read moreMy husband and I recently dined at Sake and Tekila, and unfortunately, our experience was incredibly disappointing and frankly, quite disturbing. Upon arrival, we were seated in a secluded back corner despite numerous other booths being available closer to the main dining area. During our meal, we were subjected to blatant racism. Customers at an adjacent table used a derogatory term in Spanish targeting Black individuals but it was directed at my husband, seemingly unaware that my husband and I both understand the language. My husband, who is Indigenous and Hispanic, addressed the issue with a look, which led one of the individuals to scold the other. While we are kind people and fluent in Spanish, we chose to converse in a mix of our native Muskogean language and English that evening. The staff, however, seemed visibly offended by our choice of language. Regrettably, the discriminatory and seemingly colorist behavior extended to the staff. Our waitress exhibited overtly rude conduct towards me, interrupting me while I was trying to place my order, yet she was perfectly cordial with my husband, indicating a clear disparity in treatment. He ultimately had to intervene and correct her behavior. Beyond the disturbing service, the food itself was a letdown. The Birria tacos and refried beans were bland and unsatisfactory. The Asian food options on the menu were comparatively better, but that hardly compensates for the overall negative experience. If you are looking for a dining experience free from discrimination, unwarranted racism, colorism, and subpar Latin food, I strongly recommend going to Los Reyes instead. We have consistently found their staff to be respectful and kind, and their food is significantly more flavorful...
