Overall, pretty poor food.
Veg puff was nice, but outside of that everything from the buffet was either average or poor tasting. Lots and lots of oil floating on top of curries also didn't give any impression of the food being healthy.
I had high hopes from the satvic nature of the food, but I was still half expecting it to be at least half as good as other Iskcon restaurants, such as Govinda cafe/restaurants in LA or in Delhi. However, it is far far far below in comparison.
Expect to pay between $15 to $25 for the buffet.
Concerning case: Halwa here had something like ash from the hawan mixed in it. Two more persons on my table concurred with me. It tasted so weird that I couldn't resist but tell the devotee staff there. The weirdness was so intense that I went to check again that they take notice, but I was brushed aside. The other devotee cashier upon hearing my concern asked me to show me which halwa I was talking about. I was happy to see that it was removed. However, I still showed her the halwa from my plate. She showed empathy and highlighted to someone from the cooking team. Instead of simply accepting it, the person from the cooking team explained that it was from prasadam. I have had prasadam in Iskcon more than hundreds of times in my life, and it was the worst experience. The reason why I feel compelled to write so harshly is that after more than two hours of having it, I still feel roughness in my throat and smell of that ash in my burp, and this when I only had one spoon...

It's totally veggie, meaning no meat, no fish, no eggs – it's all yummy vegetables, grains, and fruits, making it super healthy and kind to animals. The chefs who cook there actually offer all the food to Lord Krishna first, like they're saying, "Here, Lord Krishna, try this delicious food!" before anyone else gets to eat it. That makes the food extra special and "blessed"! It's often a buffet, which means you can pick and choose all the different delicious dishes you want, kind of like a grand feast where you get to try a little bit of everything! They focus on making really tasty food with fresh stuff, so it's not just good for you, it tastes amazing too! Think of it as the temple's own special restaurant, a place where people can eat yummy food after visiting the temple and feel happy...
