Asian Fusion was my favorite restaurant from the time the restaurant opened a couple years ago until right before COVID-19. I havenāt visited since October 2019 when the restaurant menu was amazing with high quality food and service. During this last year I attempted to come to the restaurant but unfortunately like so many places the restaurant had take out only. To my amazement today my husband calls the restaurant to see if they finally opened for dine in and they were. We happily made the trip from the south side to enjoy what we had missed and previously experienced from 2019!! Unfortunately instead sitting in there formerly modern, clean dining room we remembered we had to sit at small cramped table literally by the front door and was given a paper menu I didnāt recognize!! I LITERALLY COULD HAVE SCREAMED when I saw the menu !! I cannot believe it is elegant restaurant That once had high quality traditional Asian influenced meals is now a mediocre take out spot that you can find on any corner in the city Milwaukee !! I was very disappointed and was even more upset that the staff that I recognized Chose not to explain that the restaurant basically IS NOT ASIAN FUSION ANYMORE even after I questioned him he pretended he didnāt know what I was talking about. If you remember what this restaurant was prior to COVID-19 and is attempting to go here based on that experience do not waste your time. I am highly disappointed and actually saddened that a restaurant I used to patronize weekly because of the quality and variety is no more!! My husband and I immediately chose to leave without eating and do not plan...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAt first we were disappointed at the change of menu following COVID19. However, we were able to enjoy traditional meals again!!! It turns out their lunch bar has a revolving menu of our favorite traditional meals from the old menu! Itās offered 6 days a week and is extremely cheap for the amount of food (and unique traditional food!) that you get. An extra thought: even their āgenericā fast food Chinese options are so much more superior than other places.
Unfortunately Asian Fusion lost both staff and a huge customer base (exchange students from China). This restaurant had to totally change the way they operate but I believe if there is enough demand then the traditional food bar, it can be added to dinner too.
I have personal friends who own restaurants and say prices of all ingredients have almost doubled and sometimes tripled. The supply chains for these basic ingredients do not have enough man power to deliver at the price they used to. We werenāt told if that was a problem for Asian Fusion too but it could be a contributing factor.
Weāre always treated well when we are at Asian Fusion, regardless of the menu. Thank you for this!!!
Now the restaurant is a more authentic and tasty version of Panda Express. Different audience, but still superior and worth...
Ā Ā Ā Read moreAsian Fusion is a wonderful restaurant. We order from them regularly. In addition to their outstanding food, the service and ambiance (we use to dine inside before the pandemic) at Asian Fusion is great as well. A few of our favorite items are: Egg Drop Soup, Fried Dumplings, Okra, Broccoli w/Fresh Garlic, Singapore Noodles, Salt & Pepper Shrimp, and Sugar Chinese Donuts. We loved the Duck too, but that item is not on the menu anymore. Hopefully it will return. Frankly, Iāve never had a bad meal at Asian Fusion. Including, when dining-in one summer, we ordered from a Chefās Special secret menu which you have to ask for, because these are items that are not on the menu. I fell in love with the Salt & Pepper Ham Hocks. The entire Chefās Special meal was AMAZING! I highly recommend...
