The interior is a bit sparse which makes the place a bit loud. They seem to use a small radio in the "bar" area and it doesn't sound good at all.
Our first visit found us waiting almost an hour for food with so little interaction from the staff. In fact we left without getting anything but the initial glass of water after close to an hour.
I reached out privately to them and let them know what happened. THey were apologetic and asked that we give them another try. So a few days later we did.
They were more attentive this round, but I think it may have been because when the hostess asked if it was our first time, I explained.
The pizza was pretty good. Not great, but not the worst I've had. I'm guessing the pie doughs are formed in the evening or morning for the whole day because they lack the "fresh dough" taste and feel. The toppings were quality and the sauce wasn't bad. They only offer one size (14"), and the price isn't horrible at $13 without additional toppings.
All-and-all we'd go back - and we did.
About 2 weeks later.
The service was good. They were having a birthday party at the table next to us, so it was a bit louder in our area. The food came out quickly.
We ordered a sausage, mushroom, and onion with no appetizer. When it arrived we were hard-pressed to find any onion on the pizza, although the flavor was somewhat present. The sausage seemed to be small crumbles and not all that much and while we could see the mushrooms, there was only about enough to cover half of a pizza you'd find at other establishments.
The crust still tasted about the same with that not-so-fresh flavor. It's not that it doesn't taste good, but I'm sure when it's first made it tastes much better. I'm sure they do it to save time and money.
This last visit, due to the condition of the pizza, will be our last.
I was in the pizza business for a long time when I was young and while this is one way to serve pizza, it's not what I personally consider to be the correct way. Pizza is easy, and cheaper (all things considered) to make, and to cut corners, then start cheaping out on toppings so early in the life of the restaurant... well, it's not good.
I'm only giving my honest opinions and may not be yours. So go try them out and let us all know what you...

We went about two weeks ago, and then I got injured and life has been a little discombobulating as of late.
They are in the old Dino's restaurant location and the changes inside are disappointing. The old style was very warm and cozy. Now it lacks character, has kind of a commercial feel. Too many restaurants are converting to a more industrial interior that just makes the whole experience feel cold. They have an area in the front, for outside dining in good weather, but it's RIGHT on Howell Avenue. No privacy and lots of traffic.
Our server spoke no English. She was sweet, and she was trying, but she seemed to feel embarrassed or inadequate. I couldn't quite place the mannerisms and expressions. I have absolutely NO issues with people from other countries, speaking other languages (frankly that's me when I travel abroad), but the venue should be helping her out with ESL or something to allow her to be more confident in her position.
The food is a mixed bag. I can't remember what everyone ordered, but I do remember the only complaint from someone other than me was that she didn't like tomato sauce. Not THEIR sauce, just tomato sauce in general. So she was complaining about herself having ordered it. I had not had a Meatball Sandwich a few decades so I decided to give theirs a try and did the add-on of Fries and Coleslaw. I received the fries, but no slaw. When I asked about it I was told they were out. No one said anything about this when the order was placed nor when the food was brought out, and it was not removed from the check. The meatballs were flat. No flavor at all. The sauce was flavored of course, but the lack of flavor in the meatballs themselves brought the entire sandwich down. The Mozzarella Sticks are outstanding. They are large, gooey on the inside, with an ultra crunchy breading that you want to have in a mozz stick. I would go back for just those.
Not a shining star, but not...
Read moreWhen I called for a Large and a Small pizza over the phone, they gave me a price but they did not mention they Only have one size pizza, 14". So when I got there I was told they were both the same size....hmmm. Anyway, first time I went there as Marsel's...use to go there a lot when it was Dino"s. Liked it more when it was Dino's. The pizza crust seemed half baked because there seem to be No crust below the toppings in some spots. Unless the crust in those spots was gooey and was mixed with the toppings over that, not sure. Pizza was somewhat Bland, and I am an expert on real pizza taste all my life. Fussy about my pizza. Most of the time I make my homemade from scratch, but this time I had no time and wanted pizza! Mine was a pepperoni and sausage that I ordered. They were skimpy on the pepperoni. And Most pizza place's I ever went to always has the pepperoni on the very Top (top 0f cheese) when baked. Mine was under the cheese, which makes the pizza more greasy after being baked. Sausage wasn't bad, and they do put a lot of cheese on. I wanted to go to my regular pizza joint, but they were closed for sanitizing. So I tried here on a whim. And I thought the pricing was kind of high for 2 medium pizza's. I usually pay the same amount at other places for 2 Large ones. May or may...
