October 8, 2024. Had not a great experience in Dec. of 2022, so it has been almost 2 years since we were back. Thought....let's just give it another shot. We were walking by, had nothing to make at home. Okay, got a tuna (extra tuna), extra spice, husband got a turkey. These were soooooo good. I hope it isn't an inconsistent thing--but we will be back cuz we both really enjoyed our subs this time. These again reminded me of the Suburpia of old that I have missed.
Update around December 2022, haven't been back because it seems like they do so well with how they make the subs, then the last time--had absolutely no spices on it & a ton of oil. I did ask for a little extra oil because otherwise seems a little dry to me, but without the spices it is not a "Suburpia", and 'a little extra oil' I guess is subjective because it was SOOOOOO oily. It just doesn't seem very consistent. Who knows, maybe they don't train the newer people as well as they should? UPDATE9-18-2022--Had them add extra oil, extra spice & extra tuna. This was the best sub I've had there in years. Loved it! This one truly reminded me of the years ago Supurpia I loved so much. -Went back after a while of being gone. I think it was extra oil & spices mingled with the vinegar that brought the true flavor out. Extra tuna also.
Last couple times, sub had no oil, a very vinegary aftertaste, but other than that tasted like any other tuna sub from any other sub place. The past couple times they did not add the extra tuna that we were paying for. It was not like the traditional Suburpia that I grew up with & this Suburpia on Layton came close to in the past. It was never exactly the same with spices & oil--but still close & tasty. I'm going to give it 3 stars as they did put the extra tuna on this time (that we paid for), and it wasn't bad. It is still lacking though. I don't know what has happened over the last 6 months or so, but there are no identifiable "Suburpia" spices, so little oil that it just resembles other tuna/mayo subs everywhere. Decent tasting sub, but unfortunately, something has been lost in the seasonings & oil in the...

Read moreMy husband love's suburpia subs always has. I'm not really a fan and I never have them put their special spice on my sandwich, yuck. I stopped in the other day and I asked the girl how their Garden Salad is, size, etc. She said it was about this big, styrofoam container. So I got one. However, mind you I have never had one before and their sign just says Garden Salad, does not list the ingredients. The employee should have realized I never had one before and make mention that they douse their salad with their special seasoning, which basically ruined the salad. I had to drench it with Ranch dressing just to get rid of that taste. There is a strange spice in it that really doesn't belong, can't quite put my finger on it though. The salad itself was great, but you need to let them know if it comes with that seasoning because the person could be allergic to something and wouldn't be able to...
