Jimmy John's — Restaurant in Milwaukee

We decided to dine at this fine , white cloth, 4 star establishment , instead of a fast food restaurant, with our small kids... oh did i say that right ? 🙄 we went to The one on Jefferson on the east side , on 12/7 at around 530-610 pm. I really hope the managers read this.

The staff was extremely rude to us because our kids (aged 3 and 2) were not perfect angels eating their food. They were kids, so kinda messy ( which we were cleaning up) and one spilled his water which we also cleaned up. However, We were having a good time, they were happy food dancing to the music and they liked the food. But one employee in particular decided to (try to) ruin our night, a bearded man who was not in uniform, kinda looked like DJ Khaled with a longer beard, decided to stare and make rude comments to his co worker the entire time we ate. I took my young boys to the bathroom, and he even had the audacity to comment on how long it was taking and asking what was i doing in there. Then as we were leaving, my kid goes to touch a sign taped to the door, and it falls down and he takes it. My husband takes it from him to put it back and all the employees raise their voices yelling to my kid “hey we need that”. Ok captain obvious we were just putting it back. So we tell them to calm down and give them their paper. We go to leave and DJ khaled mumbles something under his breath. My husband decides he can’t take it anymore and tells him he needs to chill out. He says my husband needs to chill and we need to leave. Then my husband said “why don’t you do something about it” and the employee said “dude, you have kids” oh, now he is sensitive to the fact we have small children! Thanks so much for not beating up my husband in front of them. Then , he takes the paper sign that was so valuable to him that he yelled at my son, and wiped the few pieces of lettuce that we left off the table. Basically, don’t go here if you want your sandwich made by decent...

The delivery driver didn't call me when he arrived. I ordered around 1pm. The first time (1:19) I called they said the only have to drivers and it will be there soon. Fine okay. Im waiting on them...called again at 1:44pm asking them. Is my food coming because I am about to get off soon. Like, this was my lunch. First they telling me it's coming soon. So, I said you already told me that (this point I'm talking to a dude) can you call the driver to see where he is. The guy said "you want to cancel the order"..."I just gave up man*I just TOLD YOU what I wanted you to do and your answer is to ask me if I want to cancel...you know what I do. Then a lady (manager got on the phone) she tells me it was already there and at security. She told me my notes told him to bring it to security. She hung up before I can verify that (because I'm sure that's not what I wrote). I called her back so it's CLEAR what I said in the notes...With read..."please take to security door. I will be there" I asked her do you not call before you drop off any...she said yea....so i said well he didn't do his job. I didn't know it was here or I wouldn't have called you. She apologized but didn't sound sincere. She said she would talk to him. Terrible service today. You guys are usually not like this.

Looking at the receipt I ordered at 12:27pm. I'm just getting my lunch....

I never leave negative reviews for food service unless it’s really, really bad. Because I work in food service and I know it’s hard and stressful and I understand all of the variables and the ins and outs of it. But this was one of the worst experiences I’ve ever had. I placed a pickup order online at 11:45am. I received it at 12:20pm, 35 minutes later. 35 minutes for a sandwich isn’t all that crazy if you ask me — except that over a dozen customers came in while I was waiting, ordered and got their food in just a minute or two. No one bothered to ask me if I was waiting on an order until I had been there over 20 minutes. At which point, a very nice gentleman asked if I was waiting and grabbed my FINISHED sandwich for me. It had been done and was sitting in the back. They never bothered to put it on the takeout window, never bothered to call it out. Never bothered to take it to the to-go rack by the door. I come to this store a lot, and don’t plan to ever again. Absolutely...
