Today I tried to add the reward points via the smartphone app as I always do and found nothing added on my account right after the transition was completed. I told the Persian looking server that the points were not added. He said, “yeah, they weren’t.” and kept making my coffee. I appealed again and then he said it’s because I put my phone on the scan bar after he did checked out using my credit. I said, “well, you mean, is this my fault that you can’t fix?”, and he said “well, I can’t, unfortunately.” I was so upset with his rudeness and unprofessionalism. He should have asked me whether I have the app to scan and explained what happened with saying sorry when he found something wrong. Plus, I was holding the phone with the app turned on before I handed in my credit card to him and put my phone several times at the same time I handed in my card to him. I have never failed to scan the barcode while I visited this store hundreds of time.
I will not visit this place any longer even though I really like the crews working early in the morning. They might remember me ordering the same menu all the time, large iced latte. Some of new crews made a mistake such as giving me hot latte instead of iced one that I ordered, but they fixed it with apologies, which were acceptable. My 3 stars are...
Read moreThere is definitely a reason why the Starbucks down the sidewalk is packed and this location is dead. Their staff has not been trained on how to make a simple latte. I worked in a Caribou Coffee for almost 10 years and this was ridiculous. The barista first started pouring espresso shots direct into a plastic cup (that a no-no as it melts the plastic cup, plus I ordered a hot latte, not iced). Then he steamed espresso shots and milk together (again, wrong). At this point, he just gave up and walked in the back room, leaving one staff member in the front of the house with a backlog of drinks and a line at the register. His co-worker then proceeded to make my drink. The order of operations was closer to correct, but still not a good latte worth $5 - Really flat, the espresso machine needed to be calibrated to get the correct color and crema on the espresso shots, no frothed milk, etc. And she dumped the incorrect beverages into the clean water bath where the milk spoons/spatulas go instead of the sink behind her (unsanitary).
I will not be returning to this location. Please train your staff...

I went in to get a dozen bagels and in return I was treated rudely and berated for what bagels I am picking by who I think is the a.m. manager. She decided it was ok for her to tell me that because I was buying certain bagels it would mean that nobody else would be able to buy them. That is generally how buying something goes.
Bagels, or any consumer good really, are meant to be sold. It shouldn't matter to whom they are sold as long as they are. I should not be made to feel guilty about the bagels I want and am spending money one. I have never seen anyone else get berated for the bagels they are buying, and I shouldn't have been either. This lady made me feel like I, and my money, are not welcome at their store. It is a shame because they are right around the corner from me and I would go in regularly to get bagels when I have company over. I feel like I should be finding a different bagel place in the city if I am being judged and berated for what...
