Patty Shack — Restaurant in Milwaukee

So approximately between 6:00 and 6:30 pm Saturday May 3, 2025 my girlfriend and I stopped by because we both had a taste for a burger. Immediately upon backing into one of the parking spots towards the back door of the establishment, I noticed two employees; one was a female, and she was smoking a cigarette. The other one was a guy who was wiping his nose and spitting in tissue. After seeing that and not knowing whether or not they both were going to wash their hands after being outside like that was a deal breaker for me but my girlfriend still wanted to go inside so I went along with her. The inside looked clean, and it was quiet as we were the only two in there, but the female worker (the one smoking the cigarette) looked like she could have been high off something. Ultimately, my girlfriend ended up feeling the same vibe I felt, so we both left. It's really sad too because we both were looking forward to trying this place out. The food looked good, but we just couldn't get past those two particular workers. My advice is if the workers are feeling under the weather, then just stay home or do your business either in the bathroom or out of sight of potential customers. Bottom Line: These burgers taste fantastic, and the fries are some of my favorite as well :) Just a small bit of feedback, however... I ate here once before, so this past visit was my second time and I was super excited to be bringing someone that hadn't tried them before. I ordered a bacon cheeseburger (toppings at my discretion) and a cup of ranch (all to-go). My burger came with all the toppings just as I had requested, but no bacon. I also did not receive my cup of ranch. That being said, upon reading the ticket on the bag, it appears that neither of those things were rung up either, so at least we weren't charged for them. I totally understand if the employee missed me saying the word "bacon", however she did confirm the ranch cup entry because she asked us to pause while she added it to the order. She was sweet, professional, and I think her customer service skills are a huge asset to the front of that house. If I had even thought to check my order, you typically cannot because they staple the bag shut before giving it to you. My friend's burger was correct and yummy :) This will not stop me from going back, they are just too yummy to skip.
