Nice place. Great music. My apologies to any musician. Cold Wisco night. Closing time. We ordered an Uber. They wouldn't let us stand inside for 15 minutes until the ride came. 15 minutes. I showed them my phone. Asked to speak to the Manager. They told us to leave. Luckily there is a market across the street that was happy to let us come in. Perhaps the Jazz Estate could be a little nicer.
Checked the law, Owner who responded. Assuming you have a class B license, you can stay open until 2:30. Seems you choose to close a little earlier. I did not look at the clock, but according to my Uber receipt we were picked up at 2:15. So, you could have let my girlfriend stay warm. Or, you could have explained what you thought was the law, and I likely would never have looked it up, and would not have posted a bad review. The smart thing is to just apologize, say you will be kinder to others in the future and educate your staff, and I would be happy to take down my negative review. Regards, John Black Sr

Read moreThe Estate is a sophisticated Milwaukee gem with top-notch jazz and vibes that feel straight out of another era. The dim lighting, vintage décor, and cozy tables make it the perfect spot to unwind, especially with a well-made drink in hand (their cocktails never miss). My girlfriend and I spent New Year’s Eve here, and it was refreshingly low-key. Just great music, good company, and a calm way to ring in the new year without the usual chaos.
A few years back, I ended up at The Estate for a local video game-maker’s event, and the whole place was filled with custom arcade machines you could actually play. It was such a cool twist on the usual jazz night, and I’d love to see something like that pop up again. It doesn't matter if you’re there for the music or a unique event, The Estate will always deliver on atmosphere...
Read moreAbsolutely love this place for Jazz my first visit! The room was cool. Waitress was amazing always keeps your water full thank you. Love that touch. But last Saturday the 21st the jazz group from Madison one of the worst. The music was not right and the lead player talked too much. (About he’s banking account, Really) Also they started 20 min late played for 45 min and took a 50 min break. When I mentioned this to the bouncer. He was blown away. I’m giving this a 3 stars because the Jazz Estate and employees are awesome. If you go the team of people working there are extremely friendly! But the person that lines up the acts needs to do better job vetting...
