Way to ALIENATE a lifelong customer and the core of your customer base! A friend and I ordered breakfast here this morning as we do several times a week. After ordering and paying the cashier asked me to put the knife i have legally carried on my tool belt sheathed for years out in my truck before he could serve me. I informed him that i had been at this location 100's of times and many others including all the other fast food joints in town and never had issue. I asked him where the sign was on the door or building they they are supposed to post was?He said there was not one and that he could show me on a piece of paper he had behind the counter? What?. I informed him that Texas laws reguarding the carrying of knifes changed years ago. He then responded that "Whataburger is "Cracking Down" on open carried weapons and handguns". So Whataburger( a TEXAS company !!) is "cracking down" on the right for law abiding citizen's to exercise the right to carry knives or licensed carry handguns to protect themselves? When I asked him what changed he replied that some of the customers didn't feel comfortable with open carry and that it was for everyones safety. What a load of manure! The only person responsible for your own safety is you Whataburgers is definitely NOT going to defend you if a crazy person walks in one of their stores hell bent on hurting people regardless of what their polices are. I fully understand personal rights don't superseded property rights. SHAME!! on you Whataburger for discriminating me and other's for something that "We the people of Texas" voted on and had passed! I implore the rest of you cancel your order as i did, funny thing is I LOVE Whataburger and have all my life. It PAINS me but i must #BoycottWhataburger until they STOP playing POLITICS and return to non bias...
Read moreI don't normally leave reviews, because this is a small town. But I'm finally not going back to this Whataburger. I'm a trucker who has over $100 on my Whataburger App account at all times. I've eaten the same saved favorite customized no-bun burger for my keto diet for nearly a year now at Whataburger stores across Texas from the Southern border to the Valley, west texas to the East, in Louisiana, New Mexico, and Oklahoma, often in the same places many times over, and I've never had to deal with the repeated failure to prepare my food as ordered at every other place with the tap of a button and the bad attitude that I've had to deal with here in my own hometown. It's truly pathetic. I'll continue to eat at Whataburger outside of Mineral Wells, but I will prefer the more reliable Chili's from now on, while at home. When the lady supervisor in charge who knows me by name hears about this from her head lady manager, she will no doubt just feel relieved that she doesn't have to bother with another annoyed customer any more. This is free market at work: you've lost a regular customer who spends an average of $100/week at Whataburger, for life, and you've cost the company a bad review which will deter future customers, causing unknown...
Read moreHave always loved the freshness and taste of the food here....Went by this morning ( 9/1/22 ) at 7 30 AM and walked in to get 2 sausage biscuits.... Stood waiting over 20 minutes for my order and watched 2 girl's running the place, one cooking and one taking inside orders and working drive thru....when finally getting my order the biscuit was hard and seemed left over from previous day's, sausage cold, all seemed like had been left on the warming tray for too long.......Very slow service, poor food quality, and was late for my scheduled meeting.....I don't think these problems at this location is from lack of competent help availability, I suspect it is from Corporate greed of not wanting to pay wages for enough people to give good service.....Whataburger is sure going downhill.........fast
In reading others reviews, how is this place given a 4 star rating ???? The majority of the written reviews are all 1 star, very lousy, evidently the pathetic manager here is related to someone higher up in Corporate and kept here at a struggling location so as to not mess up a better franchise......she...
