LOVE this place! I had been meaning to try Abi’s for so long and I’m glad I came in! I picked up a takeout order and we got Pupusas (2 orders of the 3 for $12 deal), Tacos de Birria, sides of sweet plantains and avocado and the horchata. The Ayote, Espinaca, Queso and Loroco (all vegetarian) Pupusas were the best I’ve had yet! Others who ordered the Tacos de Birria raved about it and the consomé which came with it. The pickled cabbage and Pupusa sauce that they recommended we place on top of the Pupusas tasted delicious too. The sweet plantains were very good with the sweetened condensed milk we were given on the side to dip into. The interior is nothing super fancy, but the service was very welcoming, friendly and polite and the food was made in a timely manner. I couldn’t recommend this place enough and I cannot wait to try more items...

The food here is AMAZING. I’m Mexican but grew up around lots of Salvadorian folks and tried pupusas a long time ago. Abi’s is hands down the best pupusas I’ve ever had. I had tried their food before they moved to their new Lyndale location and the quality has been the same if not better. The servers are always so sweet and helpful to educate you on Salvadorian food. Definitely recommend they deserve way more business!!!

Definitely try the pupusas, I recommend trying some of the revueltas that has beans cheese and pork but also have vegetarian options like Loroco with cheese or beans. Lotoco is a type of heb/veggie with a earthy flavor and goes so well with cheese!

P.S I didn’t get any pictures because… well I couldn’t help but to eat the pupusas right away thats how...

This is my family's go-to spot for papusas. We also love their tacos dorados. Killer place to go for brunch. Get coffee, papusas, some fried eggs and fried plantains, and you will not be happier. Staff is super kind, friendly and helpful. I've lived in Minnesota for almost 7 years since moving from California and have had the privilege of traveling all throughout El Salvador. This place is absolutely incredible and the quality of the core ingredients they use is very high. For example, their Carne Asada, their eggs, their avocados are all delicious and fresh, and they're committed to quality. For example, one time they couldn't get good fried plantains so they don't put bad ones on the menu. If it's fresh and meets their standard, they'll do it - you gotta respect a...

We decided to get dinner at Abi's restaurant because of the pupusas, which is a favorite of mine. They are a little difficult to find and we almost walked past, but if you turn into the parking area, they are just at the back of the building. We ordered the Birria, Loroco, and Revuelta pupusas as well as the yuca frita. All of these were delicious! They came with a pickled cabbage and hot sauce which were quite flavourful. The pickled cabbage seemed to have a little spice on it own, which was nice. I forgot to take a picture before we split our pupusas, but we ordered 3 and the yuca for 2 people and were happily full after.

Abi's is a gem on Lyndale which is well worth the visit! While there were some tantalizing large-plate options on the menu, I decided to go for the 3 for $12 pupusas combo. Each was delicious, and I have to recommend giving the pupusas loroco a try! It made for a very hearty lunch overall. Staff was also very kind with their great recommendations and consistent, timely service! One note: it seems they had a couple of staff shortage issues a week before this review, but those seemed sorted today. I hope Abi's is here to stay, and I personally can't wait to give more of the menu a try.

We got a combination platter, zucchini and loroco pupusas, and atol de elote. Zero regrets. Everything was absolutely delicious. It's the kind of place you go to, and immediately make plans with more people so you can go there again ASAP. I want to try their birria, empanadas de platanos, and so much more. The server was really friendly, there's a parking lot, the prices are affordable. What's not to love? It's the menu above all that's got me hooked though. I'm excited to stop by again soon.
