Aurelias Mexican Uptown — Restaurant in Minneapolis

I tried to come eat here with a friend last Tuesday at about 5:30. We entered the building and there was no host, no server, no bartender, no customers, no-one to be found. It was a ghost town. I could hear someone doing dishes in the kitchen but I’m not going to eat at a place that might have one person doing the serving and the cooking and everything else. So we left and ate elsewhere.

How is it that at happy hour on a Tuesday there was not a single customer there? They’re doing an extremely poor job of getting their name out there and drawing people in with obvious specials like a good happy hour and Taco Tuesday etc.

Glad to see someone take over this space and maintain the outdoor patios charm. Our server was very attentive and helpful. Her recommendations of the sopes and birria machete were excellent! I imagine everything on the menu is delicious considering the flavor and quality of those 2 dishes. Some of the best Mexican food I've had in the cities. The beef birria was perfectly cooked, had great spices and spicy heat, and all the other ingredients in the nachos were very fresh.
