This place is fine. It's under the umbrella as Centro, so you are using a QR code.

Also a quick aside... You can call yourself a dive bar, but that status really should be earned. Especially when you're corporate.

As a server of 20 years I struggle to tip when there is no actual service. If you have a question, or need anything you have to get up and find someone. You can not start a tab, so you are on your phone punching in an order every single time you would like a drink, or food.

The burger and chicken tenders were alright. Nothing to write home about. The potato chips were way overcooked and over seasoned. The fries were also fine. Although I really liked the curled shaved cut.

I liked the music playing, but it was so loud. So very loud, even the person who dropped out food couldn't hear me ask a question and yelled, "what?"

I liked the space, but I believe engaging with people is part of the experience. Not to mention sometimes you just want someone to take your order, because your day was exhausting. If you sit at the bar, you get that experience though.

They try to make up for it by having a niche bathroom. It was funny, but you can't...

Brand new Bina’s coins itself a dive bar…big shoes to fill for a brand new bar in NE Mpls, land of dive bars.

But somehow…it does it. The dark lighting that helps you forget what time it might be, the dark wood rafters and wood bar complete with leather cushion around the edges, black leather swivel bar chairs, and a refreshingly trim but thoughtful drink and food menu. Complete with complimentary matchbooks.

The deviled eggs are good, the moz sticks are rich and served with tomato soup for dipping, and there are a grand total of 3 beers on tap. Nothing is too expensive and you could easily have a good time with $20 here.

Somehow it doesn’t seem new. Somehow, it feels like it’s been here all along and you could even forget you’re in the city for a spell. The kitschy random decor is cute but not trying too hard or overwhelming. The Xmas decorations in the bathroom could’ve come off as fussy but somehow, you end up feeling like you’re at your friends house during the holidays.

The parking isn’t the best and the side street is rife with potholes. But it’s a dive…you get...

Definitely our new favorite place NE. Outstanding service! I can’t say enough about how friendly and welcoming they were. This was our 1st visit here and I had several questions about the various cocktails. The 2 men working there were so kind and answered all my questions as if we had been friends for years. Even a couple guys sitting at the bar joined in. I said to my husband, “ I already love it here.” We ordered the chips and dip because our plan was to go home and grill. I can’t wait to go back and try the burgers, deviled eggs, mozzarella sticks and chicken tenders. All of their sauces are made from scratch. We took home 3 of the bars that are also made there. We just had them with coffee. I literally want to drive back there right now and get a dozen more of these wonderful bars! Can’t...

Super neat spot, we love centro so when we heard this opened by the same person we were so excited. Totally blew away expectations the food was so delicious, inexpensive, and came out super fast and hot! I got the grilled cheese which was honestly the best one I’ve ever had will get again. I want to try so many things we will definitely come for more food. The vibes were so atmospheric and the lighting was super chill super busy but still super fast service. The decorations were very on par and liminal space esc which I loved. The bathrooms are also Christmas themed so that’s fun. Numerous photo ops and easy to access via bike.

Recommended by a friend who knew how much I dig a kitschy dive bar type spot and their rec was well received! We stopped in on a Monday YES a Monday (not many NE MPLS restaurants are open Mondays) and it was chill. Pull tabs were available and we ordered some HH drinks and food. Smash burger was exactly as I imagined it (tasty) and chicken tendies were also PERFECT. Monday is Martini Monday which I did not indulge in but will soon. There is darts, A POOL TABLE and an arcade game of some sort along with cool decor and Christma-themed bathrooms. This place rocks. I am not about to gate keep. Go here.
