Is DQ the best ice cream in the world? Absolutely not. Does it sometimes truly hit the spot? Absolutely. Today was one of those days… After spending all day in cramped hotel meeting rooms at a work conference, my car AC couldn’t seem to handle the Minnesota heat, and I endured a sweltering ride home. I decided to reward myself for getting through the work day, and I spontaneously stopped at the nearest DQ. What an excellent decision! It’s 83 degrees and sunny today, so I opted for a large Oreo brookie (brownie cookie?) blizzard. It was absolutely magical. The blizzard was bursting with chunks of Oreos, brownies, and cookie dough. I truly have no complaints. Whoever made that blizzard didn’t skimp on mix-ins, and I truly appreciate that.

āž– Our blizzards weren't mixed all the way so by the time we got to the bottom, it was pretty much just plain white soft serve LOL Also, FYI – they stop serving food a bit before they actually close. āž• There is a nice outdoor seating area at this location of and a good amount of free parking availability in their private lot. Just by chance we visited on a day they were doing a charity fundraiser where a portion of their proceeds was donated to a good cause, so it's nice that this business participates in these types of events.

Came here after a couple beers with friends. My fiance and I each got a small blizzard (Reese's peanut butter cup and Oreo). Both were great and were exactly what we'd expected from a DQ. One of our friends got a large (rookie mistake) brownie extreme blizzard and was upset that there weren't toppings at the bottom. He wanted me to leave fewer than five stars but he can leave his own review. 5 stars from me!

The customer service experience has continued to drop since Paul is no longer a regular presence at this location. Without management direction the crew is lost, filling orders out of order and sequence regardless of order type. In my case, a 40-minute wait for an ice cream cone and Dilly Bar. During that wait period, 18 patrons who ordered basic ice cream products AFTER ME, received their order, and I repeatedly implored the staff for help as the Dilly Bar given to me at the time of ordering was turning into a soupy mess. At no time did any staff member apoligize for the ridiculous delay, and continued to justify the wait by saying they had a system. Seriously? On what planet is taking the same order types completely out of sequence a system? That's like waiting for a table in a restaurant with your name on a list, and the staff continue to seat parties of the same size before you, when they are clearly much further down the list. Anyone with any common sense and backbone would protest such an unjust moronic system. Receiving an order number is the same concept, creating an expectation of service in a logical order based on the time you placed your order. The way this restaurant is currently operating defies logic, and did not have this system of chaos when Paul (the owner operator) was a part of the picture!! Avoid this...

Terrible customer service. I ordered a Banana Split Blizzard and it had no bananas in it. After getting home and realizing I called to complain and they asked if I was coming back which would make no sense. They said that they would put extra toppings in my next blizzard as they're really only missed a topping as they put it. Sorry but missing the banana in a banana Split Blizzard is kind of a big deal and kind of the main topping as it is included in the name. The manager that I spoke to also said that they were out of bananas which had they told me that I would have just ordered something else instead of them just conveniently forgetting to put the bananas in when they were actually out and failed to communicate that to me. Also the blizzard was barely Blended and 3/4 of the cup was white ice cream with nothing mixed in. Basically this was the equivalent of a strawberry pineapple Sunday and a cup, not at all worth the money I...

I want to love this location but my most recent experiences have been disappointing. I ordered myself a small blizzard each time - one triple berry brownie which had some chocolate shavings but not a single speck of brownie…what?! The other was a Reese’s blizzard which had Reese’s (thankfully) BUT also contained random chunks of cookie dough and rogue peanuts. Again, what?! Both times my blizzard cup was served 3/4 full. (If I wanted a mini, I’d order a mini!) Also, during my most recent experience, I ordered a second small blizzard for a friend and it was heaped well over the top of the cup. The young person at the counter literally gave me one 75% full blizzard and one 115% full blizzard side-by-side, no flip, said nothing, and fled the scene. I have to laugh because it’s not life or death, it’s ice cream, but using the advertised ingredients, with consistent preparation and results would...
