McDonald's — Restaurant in Minneapolis

This McDonald's could use some improvement for sure. When there are a few cars in the line, it seems like somebody is getting overwhelmed inside. It's not uncommon for the person manning the drive through to disappear for a while when a couple of orders are being cooked. I assume the drive through person is helping prep the orders. If you pull in and there are a couple of cars ahead of you, expect to be on hold a couple mins before you can place your order. I feel like one or two more people on staff during lunch and dinner rush would solve this issue.

Sadly, just because of the neighborhood, it's not uncommon to see druggies wandering about the premises. Usually they will approach cars in the drive through and ask for stuff. I'm not sure what can really be done about this sadly, but it does make a somewhat unsafe atmosphere. Perhaps more clear "no trespassing" signs and increased enforcement?

The food the last couple of times I've been there has been decent. Their fries are usually fresh. Only problem really is the burgers aren't warm enough to melt the cheese.

Overall this place has improved a lot more than I thought it would, honestly. Whatever they did, it's working, and I hope they continue to strive for better. Good on the crew and management here!

Abysmal drive through service. Cars not moving for 5-10 mins at a time. The food, when you eventually get it, is lukewarm at best. I genuinely don't think anybody at this place cares. Taco Bell across the road is better, and there is a far superior McDonald's at Hennnepin and Lagoon, just a couple miles down the way. Don't spend your money here, there are far better...

Long story short, my 3 year old was a patient, well behaved rockstar in a situation that would turn most kids his age green. He was hungry when dropped off with me, so I decided to reward him with a happy meal. Unfortunately this was the closest location and I made the mistake of stopping here. No complaints with the staff's service; all very nice, but the whole place was dirty with bugs and flies everywhere. I didnt dare get ketchup because of the crust on the dispensers. We were also clearly the only customers not on drugs besides one other table with two kids. Not judging for real, but go here if you're on meth, but not with your kids because he was asking if they were hurt and needed a bandaid (picking, cutting, branding and burn scars on multiple folks). I'm not "that mom" but I almost had a heart attack when he tried to let go of my hand to look at the happy meal display for fear that if he was not attached to me I'd never see him again. I could deal with the obvious, and "not so obvious" drug deals in the parking lot, except that I was with my child and I was clearly there to get a happy meal for my son, and not a happy meal of drugs. But, being approached and or had someone try to get my attention no less than 5 times while i was with my kid while obviously not trying to engage, I can honestly say that I will never go here again. I lived in the northside for almost a decade, and if I had to make a choice, I would rather go back to having my payment/food exchanged through a bullet proof window, because at least there you know they take safety precautions and I have had more respect the few times I've been through there with any child. This place was straight-up nasty and I will never bring my, or any child to this...

(Update January 2024) i went to the drive thru & tried to order.... ppl want to clown- say they dont have any shakes, none of tue hot coffee and they don't have any cappuccino s this seems like a manager problem/ the workers are there to do 1 thing dispatch foods and I said okay then; didn't spend my money at this franchise on this trip.

Brand new remodeled store, i used the drive thru. The young guy who takes orders needs to speak up more and stop murmuring. Otherwise i Had a standard McDonald's drive- thru experience. Ordered a shake, fries, burgers and coke, i feel like thats a pretty usual order and i would say that most people who frequent McDonald's are ordering French Fries and a soft drink. This location is at the corner of a trashy spot if you turn the wrong direction... but I am sure that it brings in many extra sales do to the walking traffic in this area. The food was the right temperature and tasted appropriate for what I expected the French Fries to taste like. There wasn't any snow on the ground yet and I could see the blacktop was newer, I hope that They do a nice job with the snow plowing because the lot is cramped due to how downtown its location is from the order microphone till food pickup spot I believe only 3 vehicles can be receiving a partial service per time. All be it I had a nice meal, the girl at the food delivery seemed really sweet and my total order wait time was under ten minutes, there was just one car infront of me in the drive-thru when...
