Writing an updated review. Went to dinner on a Friday and received such a weird/bad service. I have no idea if she was flustered because she had a lot of tables to wait or what but it was awful. Our server's name was Amber. Our party was seated and had to wait for a few more people to arrive. My friend's husband ask for the TV channel to be changed twice until she changed it. We ordered drinks and I felt someone reaching next to my head slamming the drink down and dropping the straws next to it. This happened throughout our dinner. She would slam things down and I am not exaggerating when I say this because people I was with agreed. My party was not super demanding for context I know some customers have crazy demands but we simply ordered and asked for place settings that we never got before we received our food and napkins and things like that. I legitimately thought someone was about to smack me in the head every time she came around to give us our refilled cups. It was very odd and she would not stop when we would get her attention she would keep moving as if she wanted to remove herself right away. At least show the basic courtesy to stop and listen to your customer's requests. We all couldn’t stop talking about how bad the service we received was. On a positive note, the male server was nice when he came around to get our repeated drink orders, he stopped and listened to all of our requests then left. Not running off like Amber as we were talking. It’s so rude! I tried the chili here for the first time and it was so yummy. Probably the hidden gem here so I’d get the chili if you haven’t already. ——————————————————————— Went here for lunch during the week and the service was quick. I opted for their brick oven pizza which seemed to be their specialty and was not disappointed. The dough was still pretty thick but the toppings and the ingredients tasted very fresh. Some of my coworkers got the sandwiches that looked really good. I’ll definitely be back to try other items on the menu! Overall really liked the cute setup in there with wooden booths and decors.

I went to The Starving Rooster yesterday for the first time after hearing that they have the best pizza in Minot. THEY. DID. NOT. LIE. The pizza is ✨AMAZING!!!✨Amazing. Did I say amazing? Because I mean AMAZZZZING. I ordered 6 different pizzas and each one was delicious I have lived in major metropolitan areas and eaten my fair share of pizza and out of all the places I’ve been this is definitely one of, if not my new favorite and by far the best place for pizza in Minot. I had a piece in my car, and when I got home I had a piece at room temperature and today I took the advice from what I’m assuming was the owner.. (She even took the time to tell me how to reheat it since I live out of town). Although, it was even great cold! The crust was crusty on the outside, soft and chewy on the inside. Lots of toppings and huge chunks of sausage and slightly crisp veggies and look at that cheese pull!! The staff seemed very friendly and attentive to their customers that were dining in. The inside of the restaurant was very clean and chic looking. I can’t wait to go back and try their other dishes. They definitely have a new loyal customer. Update: I’ve been back a couple other times and tried the other pizza… still amazing! 🌟 (added a couple new photos)

The location and the interior were awesome. Super trendy. There was no wait. We walked right in, got seated and ordered. We ordered: deviled eggs; they were good. Creme bruleed French toast; pretty okay. Breakfast pizza; it was pizza with scrambled eggs, it was okay. Caprese Benny w/ potatoes; the Benedict was okay, my hollandaise sauce was a bit broken and the potatoes were very over done. Artichoke dip; so good!!! My sister had a Caesar; she said it was too spicey. And she not one to turn away or call anything "too spicey". I had a cold brewed coffee; it was not good. I re-ordered a different drink. Our waiter wasn't pleased when i asked for a different drink. I love cold brewed coffee, I'm not an expert but it just wasn't good. The ambiance was awesome. The service was meh okay-ish. The food could use some work. It wasn't terrible, it wasn't the absolute best. Will I go back? Maybe 😏

I am not big on doing rants. But I am highly disapointed in my experience. I was recommended to this establishment by people in my home state and also at my hotel when I arrived in Minot for business. Upon arrival for lunch last week, my client and I were greeted promptly. The rest of our experience was like night and day. The first server, short dark curly haired lady whom i didnt get her name (wish i had) that came to our table seemed very irritated by my clients questions about the menu, beer ect. We shrugged it off and proceded to order our food and some standard domestic beer.... (Would have liked to hear about other options...but apparently our questions were too much at the time for her). We had ordered an app that was delivered by another server who was a complete 180 from the original lady that we had. She was able to answer a few questions about some beer that was on tap and even went as far as to bring us a sample with a smile! Sweet. Food came and was delicious thankfully because our the curly haired server dropped our food off with a puff and didnt even ask if we wanted any condiments. So why a 1 star? Not the end of the world so far right? Well half way thru our meal the table across from us received something wrong on their meal. They did not seem too upset and the other server was prompt to fixing her mistake... Not awful until said curly haired server went off on the poor girl in front of other patrons and even mumbled a derogatory comment under her breath as other the worker walked away. Everyone in the area was left feeling uncomfortable. It was very unprofessional and I am assuming the dark haired gal must be in some sort of management position, which to me says alot about this establishment. I am embarassed I brought my client here and strongly suggest to others to be hesitant...

I dined here for lunch today, and the service was disappointing. We were seated right away with several open tables, but there was a wait for others when we left. Our server brought us water quickly, but never introduced himself and never seemed interested in serving us. There were long waits thereafter. He just disappeared for long stretches, and seemed disinterested when we did see him. It was 15-20 minutes before he returned to take our order, then another 15-20 minutes before we received our drinks from the bar. I went to the bar because I thought I saw our drinks were prepared but he forgot about us. However, the bartender was so busy, she never saw me. Our server then reappeared and grabbed the drinks the bartender already prepared. Our food arrived shortly thereafter by kitchen staff, and it was very good. I had the Italian Stallion and my wife had the bruschetta, which we would both recommend. At some point while eating, the waiter brought a couple new glasses of water, sat them down then walked away. No communication whatsoever. The two other servers (side note to manager: maybe schedule more than 3 servers at lunch hour on the first Saturday of fair week) seemed to do a decent job of checking on their tables though. He twice said sorry about the wait, but it didn't seem he tried too hard to improve either. There was another long wait after eating before our check arrived, such that I had my card out and handed it to him without even looking at the bill, because I just wanted to get out of there. I doubt I'll return here, but if I do, it'll be during an odd time, and hopefully we have a...
