The Taube is Minot's only real museum of art, and it has been one of the biggest reasons I like to call Minot "home." It is easy to get involved as a member of the community through their biennial photo exhibitions and other community-submitted events. In the past, artists who win Best of Show in a community exhibition are offered solo exhibitions of their work--and this is what is so unique and special about Minot. There are very few places in the world where a budding amateur artist can have their work displayed in front of an entire city.
