The one thing that keeps me returning to this mcdonalds location is that the quality of their food is outstanding! Is not just they the food is great, but that it's great every single time we visit.. It's never hit or miss. You can always be assured of fresh, hot,and yummy food! There are a few things that aren't quite so great, but the guarantee of a well cooked meal is definitely worth it. First of all, they are almost always hectically busy.. Of course, that should probably be expected. So looking past that, the only thing that could be improved upon, is their customer service, in general. They are in such a rush from being so busy, that every single order is usually missing at least one item, and more often than not, two, or three different things will have somehow not made it into the bag with the rest of the food. So considering the ever present, long line of cars, you must go inside to retrieve your missing food items. Where you must then attract someone's attention and convince them that you are missing a number of items. It's usually not too difficult to convince them that things were missing, I'm guessing that since it happens to me almost every time I go, it must happen to others the same way... I will say that our orders generally run around $50. At McDonald's that is a decent amount of food. Usually 4 or 5 bag's, so it wouldn't be terribly difficult to miss . I just wish it wasn't happening quite so often. I am of the opinion, that customer service is about more than just making sure people get the items they pay for. Customer service is about making a customer feel welcome and appreciated. Although I am extremely happy with the food here, I am greatly disappointed in most of the employees. Out of the many times I've gone through the drive-thru, there have only been a few times that I was greeted with a smile. There or at least a couple people there that you can tell enjoy their job. These are the people that usually share a quick, kind word, look you in the eye while speaking to you, listen to what you say, and ensure that you leave smiling and happy with your visit. The customer service issue is usually just a minor thing. But today it really bothered me because we had our five year old twins in the backseat, and of course they were excited. Not only were they at McDonald's getting ready to get their most awesome, favorite, "Happy Meals". But they were out in public, around other actual people, for the first time in 2 weeks! As soon as we pay for our food we were asked to pull into parking spot number four to wait for our rather large order. My twins were all excited to see the Christmas wreaths hung on the street lights, so when the young man brought our food to the , the twins, very loudly, said repeatedly.. "hi hi hello, thank you for our food, hello, Heyyyy helloooo..?? Merry Christmas! I like your decorations.!! The silly kids just wanted to speak to the employee to say hi and thank you. And when he blatantly ignored them and didn't speak or smile or anything to my husband or myself, it just seemed extremely rude. Excuse me, he did speak exactly one word. When he got to the car and held his hand out with our missing bag he said, "here"... when he walked , my son, being the soft-hearted boy that he is at 5 years old, asked me, why didn't he want to talk to me Mommy? Now of course. I lied to my children, lol, and told them that the young man couldn't possibly have heard them because it was so so loud outside of our car.!.! Now that's not a terribly huge deal, maybe the young man was just shy, but when you work in the customer service/ food service industry, you're kind of expected to at least be a slightly amicable person. I'm pretty sure that McDonald's trains its employees to treat every customer with a smile and to take the time to make sure every customer is taken care of. To me this location is still the best McDonald's in Charlotte. If they put a little more work into creating a positive atmosphere, they'd probably be the best...
Read moreDear Customer Service Team,
I visited McDonald's on 10/29/24, approximately 10:30am.
I sat in the drive-thru nearly 20 minutes or so. I was stuck in the drive-thru, waiting on someone to take my order.
Finally, cars started pulling off and I finally made it to the window. There was no one at both windows so I took pictures to prove that there was no sign to tell the customers that something was going on. The staff made us, over 10 cars, sit in the drive-thru without communication. I blew my horn and finally, a staff member, dark skin black woman with long black straight hair came to the window, yelling at me,about being short staff. She kept repeating herself and I asked her if I can talk, as she continued to be unprofessional by yelling at me because I was at the window. I barely got a chance to say anything and I told her, if your store is not taking orders, then place a sign on the door, at the drive-thru and at the drive-thru window as a courtesy. The lazy staff was basically getting paid for doing nothing. The staff was inside, avoiding the customers, not taking ordering and would not tell us anything. Mind you, that all of this was taking place during business hours. There was no system down, just a lady, yelling about being understaffed as if it was my fault or my business. I was there for food to feed my family! The woman that came to the window appeared to be under the influence of something. I have pictures to prove no one was at the window, trying to assist customers or explain what's going on.

Read moreI have been here twice as it is easy for my kids to get nuggets after a long day at bouncing in the Urban Air across the parking lot. As a general rule, I avoid McD’s at all costs since their food is garbage… but again, nuggets are easy.
The first time I was there a year or so ago, a girl was talking to her (I am assuming based on language) boyfriend but forgot to turn her mic off whilst she was monitoring the drive through. I heard some things that were not appropriate for me to hear, let alone my kids who were in the car with me. Pulled around to pay, told the girl what happened and she gave me a death stare and shut her window. Got my food, immediately parked and opened my phone to call corporate.
Last night, I placed an online order. Pulled around to find my food wasn’t ready. Surprise surprise. Pulled off to the side and then waited 12 minutes… 12! And then… AND THEN… the food was wrong… they handed me the wrong order.
Pulled back into the drive through to explain and a disagreement broke out between the workers with some course language. Professional. But, it gets better. They took the food they incorrectly gave me back! A big health no no! I didn’t do anything with it, but that’s gross.
So they had to remake it and I had to wait another ten minutes. No sorry. No coupons to come back, no nothing. Got home and the burger I ordered my wife was dripping with grease… the bread was soaked. Disgusting.
Do not go to this location… or McDonald’s at all if you can prevent it. Absolutely filthy standards and lack of professionalism...
