Update to the response of the owner: It should then be called brown sugar milk as it contains no tea. Also a Long Island iced tea is an alcoholic beverage with alcohol in it mixed to mimic the flavor of actual tea.
I was excited to bring my girls and son here for a quick boba treat. We saw online they had our favorite “Brown Sugar Milk Tea” and they were super close by, we decided to give Frozen Dune a try.
We placed our order on the kiosk and waited our turn for our drinks. It was moderately busy due to the wait times of the rolled ice cream. Maybe an 8 min wait. I saw that our drinks were being made and we watched the server put them together. He put the brown sugar boba in the cups then proceeded to pour a full cup of whole milk in the cup. That was it. Absolutely no tea was added to the brown sugar milk tea.
We were so disappointed. $9 which is already a rip off enough then you don’t even make the drinks correctly is pure robbery. I pointed this out the him and he proceeds to ask me to “define tea”. I knew what kind of time this place was on when he said that. I said you can’t advertise a drink as brown sugar “milk tea” with no tea in it and left it at that.
We left and bought some tea to brew so we could enjoy our drinks the way they should’ve been made because they really left much to be desired and we didn’t want them completely ruining our boba date. After $50 worth of milk, we’re considering filing a dispute with our bank for false...
Read moreAn interesting place right across the street from our rented spring break condo. I had never had rolled ice cream but our grandkids were fans so we walked across one evening in the middle of our Mexican Train game. We waited in line for probable 20 minutes and it would have been longer had not a big group in front of us become tired of the wait and left. I am old, old fashioned and old school so would never pay these sorts of prices left to my own devices. The ice cream was good but not any better than Braums' or Ben and Jerry's. What you really pay for I think is the experience of watching them freeze and roll the ice cream. It was interesting and fun to watch. There menu was fairly small with about 8 choices for rolled ice cream but they were good about adding toppings on request. The people were very busy but were pleasant. There was no place inside to sit and eat which wasn't an issue for us. I don't know if this was a Covid thing or normal. There wasn't a lot of room inside and the space was filled with people waiting. Although most of our wait was...
Read moreWe did not actually get to eat here. I trudged my big ol ice cream loving behind 4 blocks on Halloween (in heels no less) only to find the door locked and the lights out, no sign on the door. Website and Google said you were open. This was 3:00 in the afternoon on a Thursday. No one answered the phone either. I guess y'all were all wearing invisible Man (not assuming gender) costumes for Halloween cause couldn't see anyone inside, though locking the door during business hours was a little overboard but I appreciate y'alls commitment to being in character so I gave y'all 5 stars for your excellent costumes (where'd you get those? Asking for a friend). It's ok cause I took my fluffy behind to Moo La-la down the road and they didn't have as good a costume but they sure did have some tasty ice cream and fudge. I bet if y'all wore those invisible Man (not assuming gender) over to Moo La-la they wouldn't even know y'all snuck in to check out the competition! Just a...
