Destin spot Blue Surf #04 — Hotel in Miramar Beach

This was our second time tp stay at Blue Surf, but our first time to stay in #1. This condo is decorated beautifully, close to the beach, and in walking distance to several restaurants. The pool was nice, but it was always crowded and a little loud when we tried to swim. We thought being in a condo right across from the beach would be an improvement from when we stayed in a back corner condo last time, but our balcony view was directly in front of the parking lot for public beach access and Pompano Joe's and a lot of power lines, so being closer to the beach didn't give us a better view. Also, being right in front of this parking lot, meant it was loud, and there were constantly people walking under our balcony, so it just didn't feel like we had the privacy we had when we stayed in a different unit. The patio furniture could use an upgrade. The kitchen utensils were sparse. We cooked several nights we were there and had to wing it with what was there. We did enjoy using the grills that are available outside. There were no beach chairs, umbrellas, or anything extra (our unit during our last stay had all this plus beach toys). The downstairs TV would not switch over to cable...we think a remote was missing. We really enjoyed staying here, and we loved the master bed and bath. Definitely clean and comfortable. Just a few things could be improved to make it...

We stayed in #5 that belongs to Preston. You'll love the view of the beach from the upstairs balcony. Or, sit on the downstairs balcony and enjoy the pretty view of the manicured lawn and pool. Inside is just as relaxing with four TV's, free Netflix, games, and a huge corner couch and comfy chair upstairs. Nightlife is easy with Pompano Joe's right across the street. During the day the beach is a short walk across the street, less than a five minute walk. The wifi worked perfectly, as did the AC. Shower pressure was good, beds were comfortable, especially the one upstairs. We appreciated that so many things were there that we ended up needing. I.e. a small cooler, pizza cutter, napkins, etc. Preston thought of everything! (We did run out of TP and towels.) We appreciated the quick and easy communication, and how clean everything was. Everything looked new and is well...

"I had a deeply troubling experience renting this unit , and I believe the conditions could pose serious legal concerns. The property is infested with cockroaches, and there is dangerous mold growing in several areas, which is a major health hazard, especially for those with respiratory issues. The windows are so filthy that you can't see outside, which raises concerns about safety and proper maintenance. The mold has caused a pervasive, heavy odor throughout the house, making it nearly uninhabitable. To make matters worse, the landlord no longer provides basic necessities like dish soap or laundry detergent, which were previously included. The neglect of this property and disregard for tenants’ health and safety is unacceptable, and it seems grounds for legal action. I strongly advise others to avoid renting...
