Polo Norte Miramar — Restaurant in Miramar

I went two times , the first time I order a ham and cheese lasagna, I got a lasagna with no pasta, and the sauce was very bitter, it looked like a dip, my husband food came out great, he was happy, so the second time, it was my husband's birthday, we waited a long time for food, we didn't order anything complicated, I got a pizza with sweet plantains, my plantains where so burnt, they were not edible, the cheese was brown, and the bread was dry and chewy, this time my husband's food was also not good, the cuban Moro was dry and had a burnt taste, and the pork chunks where also burnt, we usually go to the location in miami, we were happy when we heard of this place that we don't have to go far, don't come here, go to the location in miami, everything is better, the shakes, everything is better in the location in miami, the place is bigger and more crazy, and food never came out bad in the miami location, no matter how crazy, people wait a long time for a table in the miami location, and there is a reason, everyone was terrified to ask for desert, the girl gave us a face when most of people in our party didn't eat there food, and the girls gave excuses, the place was way busier the first time, and the food didn't come out this bad, it's official that we won't...

I give this restaurant 5 stars not only for the great authentic cuban food but mostly because of this waiter, his name is Alejandro. While all the other waiters were very good as well from my observation.There was a difference with him, He almost seemed like the owner because of how attentive and consistent he was. He made great recommendations he also personally prepared my wife a mojito that was outstanding! and shes a mojito critic, lol she was impressed! The malanga frita the coconut shrimp and the sauces they come with for appetizers were great and the arroz imperial and pizzas were awesome and i also love the online menu with all the pics! I had written a bad review because of bad service a good while ago and decided to give it a second chance and we were so glad that we did Alejandro is a true asset to this establishment ,if he isn't the manager, he should be ,He was table to table checking on everyone with a genuine smile and very courteous Who ever hired him made an excellent choice good food with good service and good drinks makes this place a de-stressor for me and my family and our first choice...

Visited last -Friday- night for the first time after several recommendations. Manager was great at greeting, locating a table and seating us. Tried the mariquitas, nothing special. Someone tried the frita, tasted from frozen fried in old oil. Pizza was very thick. So, if you like dough, you’ll love it. My food never arrived. Everyone else had a two course meal. We never saw our waitress again after she brought our drinks, so there were no refills of water or beverages for anyone. After everyone at our table had finished their meal, waitress was still in the same spot speaking to another employee since before their food arrived. We had to stand up and follow her to let her know everyone else had finished -still never checked for refills or anything- but my order never arrived. With an empty glass and empty spot on the table, and an empty stomach, the manager apologized and took care of our check.
