This was my second visit to Cosimo & Susie's and may be my last dine in experience there. We were one of 4 groups seated by the star of the show the tall gentleman who took care of drink orders and checked up on us throughout the meal. We had super frosty mugs of italian beer that was great and meat lasagna and chicken parmesan that was pretty good. The Italian dressing for the salad is a stand out but the garlic bread this time around had no garlic taste and was just soft and buttery.
With only 4 tables eating in the whole place you would think you could enjoy a quiet peaceful dinner in such a quaint little dark lit eatery such as this. WRONG!!!! The kitchen doesn't have a door and has a pass through window allowing the loud, annoying, profane banter coming from the female employees to project over the entire place and ruin what could of been a very enjoyable experience. At one point everyone eating looked towards the kitchen in amazement after a few select words were said by our robotic waitress who only knew a few phrases to say to her tables. This was totally uncalled for and ruined the tasty meal we tried to have. Will I go back for take out maybe, but I will never pay that much to sit in disgust while eating there again. Everyone there should learn some manners from the drink attendant or close up the kitchen area so the rest of us can eat in peace. Dine in at...
Read moreFrozen food! I asked if they made their own veal and pounded it out. The waitress just said oh course it's got to be flat. Got it it was a perfectly oval Frozen disc of ground up meat formed in a patty breaded and pride.. tasted like a banquet TV dinner veal patty or Salisbury steak. First of all I would say I don't believe any restaurant should never use a premade processed Frozen item. If I wanted that I can make it at home. The other was that when I ask they tried to cover it up and say well of course it's frozen because there's no way we could get fresh meat to last it would spoil. I said I'm not talking about the meat I'm talking about the fact that it's totally pre-made you just pull it out of a box of fry it. She got Cosmo and Cosmo apologized and said they used to make it from scratch but he has a lot of older age clientele that can't chew the veal from real meat so they have to use ground up process Frozen veal patties because it's easier for the old people to chew. I replied that I'm not old but if you're going to charge me $18 for Frozen TV dinner veal parmesan. You care about older people chewing their food create a seniors menu and only charge $8 for it. I tried my wife's ravioli. Tasted pretty good for being frozen ravioli and the vodka sauce I was on it was very salty. My other friend had chicken parmesan and he said...
Read moreI've heard a lot about this place over the years, and seriously, it's a skip for me. Pizza was mediocre. You can get the same kind of pizza at any local pub and spend way less. Beer is $4.75 for domestic, and that is just ridiculous. Go across the street to The Galley and get a Miller Lite for $3. This place probably holds some kind of sentimentality for some locals. It's nothing special. You can get better food at another family run Italian restaurant. Seek those out. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere. I hate saying things like this because this place seems to be so popular. I can not figure out why. I can make a frozen pizza more interesting than this. Again, I'm sorry to whom I've offended. I'm sure it's a favorite among some. Bright spot: The bathrooms are very clean and they provide very nice...
