Wendy's — Restaurant in Mishawaka

I went through the drive through on 3/16/23 and ordered a grilled chicken sandwich. The girl handed me my bag and asked, “grilled chicken”? I said yes, took the bag and headed to work. I was on my lunch break. When I got to work and opened my bag they had given me a double cheeseburger. I called 4 times and no one answered. I had to return to work and called 2 more times later when I got off. Finally the manager answered and apologized and sent me a free combo meal coupon in the mail. I went back Saturday 3/25/23 and tried to redeem the free meal. The cashier said, I don’t know how to enter this and called the assistant manager over. She looked at the card I was sent and said are you at the right location because the name of the person who signed it doesn’t work here. Umm…hello lady, the signature was probably a district manager or someone higher in command. The signature was actually very small and was pre printed on the coupon. I’m sure this is the signature on all the cards they have. She asked if the manager I talked to sounded black or white? I said, I guess white. So she said I have to call her to check on this. I never saw her again. After about 5 min the original cashier gave me my meal and I asked if the assistant manager got confirmation and she shrugged her shoulders. All the employees were staring at me as if I was trying to scam a free meal. If I was going to scam a free meal, it would definitely be a better place than this location. While I was standing there waiting, the same cashier said, I’m starving and she took a chicken nugget out of the basket that was hanging over the grease they just pulled it out of and stuck it in her mouth. This has definitely been one of my worst fast food experience ever. They don’t even deserve the 1 star...

Update 2/6/25: The service you get here really just depends on which manager is working. I get breakfast from here a lot and either I ask for sweet and low for my coffee and don't get it plus have to ask to get the 2 for 3 discount or everything is perfect. There is no in between. Update: Taking off another star cause the service has consistently gotten worse over the last few months. This time my 2 sandwiches were barely wrapped and fell out of the wrapping when I pulled them out of the bag and my coffee was cold. That's really hard to mess up, why are you serving cold coffee!?!?!?!?! I have typically had great experiences here but my last experience was poor. I ordered the breakfast baconator combo with a coffee. My coffee cup was only 3/4 full. I opened it and asked the lady at the drive through to fill it and she tried to argue about how much coffee she was allowed to poor which is ridiculous. If I wanted a small I would have ordered one! When I got down the road and looked at the potato wedges the container was half full! Somebody apparently doesn't have the patience to fill cups or wedge containers. I get very frustrated when I dont get what I pay for and this trip it's like I ordered a small side and small coffee which does not sit well with me. Fill cups and containers! I am so disgusted. as i was waiting in line to order i noticed an employee (unsure if male or female) scooping fries without gloves and actually touching all of the food with bare hands. This continued going on for the ten minutes i waited in line so when it was my turn, the cashier told the person without gloves to take over and take our order. I asked for a manager and the employee said "hey Dylan, you're a manager right? Oh yeah, I forgot you were a manager. This customer needs to talk to you."

This BOY about 18 years old in a hoodie and a winter hat hanging off of his head walked over and i said "I was going to eat here but this person pointing to the person next to him is over there not using gloves, touching people's food and that's disgusting so goodbye."

As i was walking out, he said "Well, I'm just gonna let that one slide."

How ridiculous! A "manager" doesn't care about food safety. I will never go back to this Wendy's again. Aside from the careless manager and the bare hands, almost EVERY employee working had a non uniform hat and a random hoodie on! Very unprofessional. I seen one young boy cookng that was in full uniform with gloves and a hat but...
