I'll keep this short and sweet. Juan Carlos A our server was an absolute jerk to me and my 2 friends that came in. Waited 20 minutes just for coffee. Every response he gave us was rude. Gave us nasty cold food. Even though it's advertised on even the menu as the coffee being unlimited refills. Only once in a whole hour did we get asked for a refill. He was giving a hard time and being rude with a Uber eats driver for seemingly no reason even though he was polite and patient as can be. This isn't even the first time this has happened. Every time in the past year I've visited this location it's the same song and dance and I can't excuse this anymore. Something needs to change because it feels like the magic that was once there making this a amazing late night spot for people have moved away to other places because of how bad the paying customers are treated. Not to mention the bathrooms look like a magnitude 9.0 earthquake went through there. It's so hard to believe that this is the same Denny's I'd look forward to after a long shift at work. I in all good conscious CANNOT recommend this location to anyone looking to enjoy food, enjoy the day/night, or looking for good service. If your looking for the opposite of what a dennys should be like then look no further then this location. But for anyone else just head to the Tustin location. They are leagues better. The Dana point one isn't bad either but I've been there significantly less then the Tustin. Tldr: Juan Carlos A treated me and my 2 friends like trash and acted like we didn't exist for a while hour almost. Bad food, unsanitary...
Read moreAs a nighttime frequenter I appreciate the fact it's open 24 hours on some nights. However since originally writing my review this place has heavily gone down hill. Juan Carlos A, who I believe to be the night manager, is the only one working most nights and his service is the worst I've had at any sit-down restaurant anywhere. The unlimited coffee refills are literally nowhere to be seen as nearly every table would wait nearly endlessly just for a single refill as it took a full hour for Juan to even ask us if we wanted a refill, not to mention the measly creamer selection for three people or the fact that the bowl that they come in was filled with some unsanitary coffee water mixture.
The bathrooms were incredibly unsanitary, toilet paper everywhere on the ground but of course nothing in the actual holders. The paper towel dispensers? Empty. Soap dispensers? EMPTY!
When we ended up getting our food the burger was hastily put together and the mozzarella sticks were cold in the middle. The friend I came with ordered the hearty nine grain pancakes and was given normal pancakes even though the nine grain (the more expensive option) was charged on the receipt. Despite my previous patronage I will not return to or recommend this location, consider taking your money to a location that actually cares about returning customers and the establishment they work in. Personally I would recommend the Tustin or Dana Point locations to anyone who actually values their...
Read moreFor Denny's customers: Please join me in boycotting this Denny's! They do NOT honor Denny discounts - be forwarned. This includes the birthday breakfast (now available with Denny's app membership only - to which I subscribe) for which they were famous. I travel the country and eat at Denny's about twice a week. This is the first time I've been denied an "app" special. Clearly, I'll never eat at your location, and I encourage others to avoid this location until it closes and re-opens as something else. To the owner/manager of this restaurant: it would seem inherent to me that when you put the Denny sign over your restaurant (with your franchise rights)] that you would honor Denny's guidelines and special offers. It was very disparaging to me to learn that you don't. Using the argument of "at participating locations" is SO short-sighted. My wish is that Dennys (corporate) will revocate your franchise rights. Maybe your sign should be your first name instead of Denny's. You shouldn't be allowed to market using "Denny's" good name when you refuse to honor the franchise policies...
