I have done enough fine dining in my life to take it for granted. I also own two businesses in food service and can often look at an item and know whether it was purchased from US Foods, Sysco, or Restaurant Depot. There are plenty of restaurants that serve frozen entrees, and the chef opens packaging and reads the prep label before plating it. Not here. Not at PF Chang’s. Their chef has real talent and the “back” (kitchen staff) do an extraordinary job…we have never been served a bad meal (and I’m a particular eater). They are consistently good, which isn’t as simple as it may seem.
But today I am taking time to write a review because the service was so spectacular. It’s my youngest daughter’s 28th birthday and Michelle (our server) literally made it perfect. She was fast, accurate, predictive, professional and was neither hovering or out-of-sight. But in addition to providing superbly attentive service, it was her manner that made the difference. Truth be told…it had been a brutal day and we almost cancelled dinner because nobody was feeling “up for it.” We all suggested rescheduling (not one of us wanted to go) but it seemed kinda obligatory and so we dragged ourselves here. Thank God we did. Michelle’s bubbly personality lifted us all up out of our funk and before long we were all giggling and thoroughly enjoying ourselves…even Michelle seemed to be having fun. This girl fixed a horrible day and all it took was a genuine desire to please and the well-honed server skills only a restaurant veteran can appreciate. Michelle is a rare gem…she’s got the X Factor.
The manager at PF Chang’s hires very well. His staff (both front & back) provided us an exemplary dining experience that is worthy of 10 stars. Do yourself a favor, go dine at PF Chang’s, play with items on the menu you never tried before and yeah…try some of the bartender’s specialty libations. Do it on a day when you’re down and stressed and need some simple Asian attitude therapy. The staff at PF Chang’s sets the customer care bar so high…other restaurant workers need to charter a plane just to see it. Tell em Bruce set you. You can thank me later. Thanks for saving the...
Read moreDelicious and amazing quality food, great customer service, clean and neat!! This restaurant in particular is my top favorite place to go eat and celebrate my special occasions like my birthday or wedding anniversary! Food has always been delicious and the ambiance and customer service has always been amazing. Everyone is always so friendly and welcoming making us feel at home.
I reached out to Mr James Brown, P. F. Chang's manager, and inquired about the possibility of celebrating my 11th wedding anniversary at his location.
From the very beginning he shared that they would be happy to be part of my special day and assured me that he and his team would take great care of us and they would help us coordinate and accommodate the best seating arrangements for me and my guests.
We planned ahead of time and came up with a perfect spot and table setting and the team went above and beyond to make my vision come true. Mr Brown was always in contact with us, checking in and happily answering all my questions and concerns.
They allowed me to drop off items needed for "the day of" and made sure they were stored safely. I had a seating chart and name cards and they also took care of it.
Despite some challenges that come along when planning a wedding celebration, and unforeseen events that were beyond anyone's control, they always made sure to step in and work through them and do nothing but their very best to make sure my celebration was perfect went smoothly.
All my guests were impressed with the table setting and everyone loved their food. Our servers were super friendly and constantly checked in with everyone to make sure to meet their needs.
My 11th wedding anniversary was a total hit and all I ever wanted! I will forever be grateful for the fantastic staff and all the team for making my day a wonderful day to remember!
Thank you to all the P F. Chang's at Mission Viejo Team!!
Sincerely,
The...
Read moreI’m sitting at this restaurant as I write this review. I stopped here with my wife for lunch while enjoying my anniversary weekend in Socal. The wait for a table was not bad though quite a bit longer than the 5 min we were told. The restaurant was not busy with many empty tables but busy enough for the staff that was on duty. The waiter arrived promply to take our order. I ordered a coffee that was served without the cream and sugar that I asked for. After 10 minutes, I finally got the attention of a staff member that was cleaning the table next to me to ask for cream and sugar. However, the coffee was completely undrinkable. It tasted like boiled charcoal. I ordered Honey shrimp with white rice. The shrimp was adequate but I believe the rice was undercooked as I was chewing on many hard grains of rice. My wife ordered the BBQ rib appetizer which looked good but was cold. The waiter informed us that the ribs would be taken off the bill and they would make a new plate for us. After a different server brought out a new hot plate of ribs, we didn’t eat any of them as the only thing that was hot was the plate. My wife also ordered the chicken lettuce wraps. They were very good. But there were only 6 small pieces of lettuce for a large plate of chicken filling. The waiter stopped to ask how everything was. As I answered and tried to ask for more lettuce he walked away. The manager did stop by our table to check in about the ribs. I informed her about all of the above and she offered to bring more lettuce. Since it was the only thing that my wife enjoyed we accepted as we disgussed the above issues. After informing the manager she offered to comp the meal since we didn’t eat nor enjoy most of it. I have had good service and food at other locations in the past but I won’t be visiting...
