If I could give this place negative stars I would. Why?
They do NOT cover the entire pizza with cheese...meaning when they arrive 45minutes (minimum) late the portions not covered in cheese are cold to the touch, exposing the sauce/interior.
They put abnormally large chunks of garlic on the top, Yes the top. You must vehemently tell them NO GARLIC or else!
They put unGodly amounts of pizza sauce (hello acid reflux!) Onto the pizza as though we were meant to use the excess as dipping sauce for the rest of the week! The sauce is too acidic, too salty and over seasoned.
When you address these to the owner, he'll tell you "oh, next time we will get it right." Next time is his way of saying "tough s#%$ pal" meaning 1,2,10 pizzas later (and after explaining to the young n dumb blonde/brunetten who takes the order) they don't take responsibility for their mistakes.
Conclusion: I drive 3 tiny miles immediately north to the corner of rancho santa marguerita parkway and marguerite (ralphs shopping center) to the REAL AUTHENTIC RECIPE Rubino's Pizza!
Why? Very simple:
Cute, intelligent and family friendly workers...who provide great customer/service while delivering "THE" best pizza anywhere in town period. Generous with toppings, fresh dough daily, you will taste the quality and feel a part of something special that they have going. It is what a true pizza joint should be.

From my earliest days as a teenager in Irvine during the 80's I have been a long time loyal customer of the Rubino's restaurants.
I only just recently discovered that THIS is the one and only remaining location of the Rubino's pizza empire from the 80's-90's!! It's awesome and amazing to see such an incredible institution STILL thriving today!! To see the other reviews and read about the continuing appreciation by so many people to this day is a testament to the quality and service of Rubino's pizza.
Myself, I have been, and will continue to be a huge fan and supporter of Rubino's and look forward to my next slice of heaven!! 🙏😇❤️❤️❤️
UPDATE: I went back and discovered how magical the pizza is after alllll these years!!! Same deliciously light and crunchy crust, with a pillowy doughy chewy end crust that is begging for dipping into ranch dressing. The toppings are fresh and delicious but the cheese is incredible!! So frickin good. Truly a testament to maintaining the best quality ingredients and baking practices!! This pizza is definitely my number one place and will continue to be my number one favorite...

It's too bad that our first experience 5/8 Mother's Day was a regret! 👎🏼 We ordered for delivery, spaghetti dinner, rigatoni dinner, wings, mini pizza and bread sticks. Well for all that food it was delivered pretty quickly, hmmm made to order I think not! Microwave re heated food.. Yes! Well our order arrived without the spaghetti dinner... Boo! So we called to let them know and it took them longer to deliver just that. They offered a free spaghetti dinner the next time we ordered & that's if we ever decide to just for the cheesecake. Anyway the food sucked, mostly the pasta dinners! To saucey that's very acidic! Pasta noodles tasted old and way over cooked and the meat sauce should really be called tomato chunk because that's all it was! I ordered Italian sausage with the rigatoni and it was just one long sausage not cut up mind you and very very mushy right in the center of the over cooked tomato pasta! Not our idea of Italian food! The only thing good was the cheesecake!! But of course it was from the Cheesecake...
