Fresh Market Cafe — Restaurant in Mississippi

This place is so freakin inconsistent, you never know what you’re going to get. Sometimes it’s great and other times horrible. I don’t think they even have recipes, if so, they don’t follow them. I’ve gotten things extremely over peppered, over salted, and whatever spice that is put in the sweet potato casserole is always all over the place. I once got broccoli casserole that was literally dark grey from so much pepper.. yet they still served it. The chicken and dumplings I ordered for kids tonight are horrible.. nothing like the ones they usually have that they love. They wouldn’t touch them and I don’t need blame them. Consistency is key to any restaurant and I can totally see why they have to offer so many promotions and deeply discounted meals.. such a same, could be so...

I have been eating fresh market in Brandon for 11 years. It WAS delicious and the portions were worth the price. The last maybe 4 years the quality has gone done tremendously! Portions are smaller and the quality of the food has gone down. Catfish is tough has no meat, salmon croquettes my favorite use to be beautiful golden large size patties. Now they are burnt balls. Clearly burnt. The server says they always look like that. Well they have the past several years... like another reviewer said there is no consistency. I don’t know what happened to this place. Management or what but they clearly do not know quality at all or just don’t care. It’s a shame. I used to bring people here to eat. I wouldn’t do it now. The KROGER behind them has better prices, taste...

We normally love The Fresh Marker on Spillway but lately it’s been dirty and today... I order chicken and dumplings in the drive thru but the lady told me that I had to come in for 3 orders, she was not very friendly said there was a sign telling me to come, which there was a piece of paper taped but the wind had folded it. Regardless, I went in and she had the plates already done. I looked at the chicken & dumplings and you could tell that they were warmed over to a point that my daughter said they were crunchy. I asked if I could change them or have them replaced by something and the lady said NO, still very rude... It is 4/27/21 at 3:00 pm and it is the last time that I will be spending money with this...
