Ducrey Chocolate Maker — Restaurant in Missoula

I order regularly, and I usually always love everything - the waffles, sandwiches, chocolate bars, and most of all the latte that I always get with your delicious chocolate sauce… which is why I’m giving you 5 stars.

That said… what is up lately? Is someone new making coffees these past few weeks? Because lately (not always, but more often than not) the coffee is wrong. Full of coffee grounds - really not cool. That’s happened twice. Today, for at least the third time, there was barely any chocolate in my coffee, so it was very bitter. And please, don’t reply and tell me it’s my tastebuds. I’ve been ordering the same coffee from y’all for a year, and it was always on point until recently - and even then, sometimes they’re still great, other times they’re undrinkable. An experience for the palate! I recently met a friend at Ducrey Chocolate for a tea & coffee. After catching eye of the beautiful pastries display we added 1 Lemon gateau and 1 chocolate gateau. we sat outdoors in the front patio that was quiet and great for people watching. From the moment I had the 1st bite of the Lemon gateau, my palate went WILD! It was PERFECTLY DELICIOUS! We split both pastries so we got to taste 2 pastries. The chocolate gateau did not disappoint, as it was just as delightfully PERFECT! Neither were too sweet and the lemon and chocolate flavor in each were distinct and DELICIOUS. I'm pretty good at picking awesome places to eat here in Missoula ask anyone. Things I look for is if the food is good, do the staff look happy, the atmosphere meaning can someone have a conversation without being ask every 5 minutes if everything is alright. Lastly is it worth the money to food quality ratio. One thing I don't do very often is post about a place unless I'm impressed. Well folks I'm impressed! I don't eat chocolate but my die-hard chocolate lovers can rate that. My friend took me here for breakfast as I said before I'm impressed. The have a beautiful business model and a relaxing location.
