You could come here just for the fries. They got regular fries, greek fries, feta fries, special fries. So good! But really the gyros are amazing. It’s all about the meat they put in the gyro. So tender and flavorful, it melts on your tongue like yogurt. You could almost just swallow it without chewing, it’s that good. Well, dont do that please but you get what I’m sayin? The gyro meat is soft and tasty. The location of this joint is pretty sick too. I parked 5th street and did my grocery shopping at Orange St Food Farm and then I came here after. It was like a two for one food for now and food for later special. If i could do it again, I’d have eaten the gyro first so my groceries didn’t get warm in my car. And that whole thing about not going grocery shopping on an empty stomach because you end up buying too much sheet you didn’t need. There’s the solution: get a gyro before you grocery shop. Amazing!! Its so convenient!!! I will be back for sure, Gyro Pastry place! I only wonder what is different (or special) about the special fries??? There’s no picture. I hope someone posts a picture of the special fries, then maybe I will try them. Before I...
Read moreI absolutely love the food here. My go-to is the gyro with feta and french fries. The fries aren't overly greasy and have just the perfect crunch.
#1 has a small eating area with a handful of tables inside and some outdoor seating. There is not a parking lot but has a few spaces on the street. I think most patrons do what we do and park at the back end of the Orange St Foodfarm parking lot.
On our most recent visit we sat by the window. The sills were relatively dusty with dried food in several areas. The windows where we sat also had dried food and some greasy finger swipes. The ketchup bottle we were using felt greasy. Much doesn't separate the 'kitchen' from the seating area and it could be due to grease settling in the air or, fry hands.
I will say I don't recall this being the standard. We could have come on the tail end of a busy lunch and staff hadn't been able to attend the dining area.
If you haven't tried these gyros, you have to!...
Read moreWow! I'll try to temper my views here somewhat, but if this place is truly considered to be "one of the top 10 restaurants in Missoula" (??), then I'm afraid Missoula diners are in some serious trouble! Either that, or we've had the odd misfortune of hitting this place on several of their 'off' days. Because our experience has been nowhere NEAR as positive as all of these 'glowing' reviews! I try hard not to be unduly critical or unfair in these sorts of things, but if their typical Greek gyro is anything by which to measure their overall product quality, I'd have to say that I couldn't consider recommending them to anyone, over any of the other gyro shops in town. We've ordered several standard gyros there on multiple occasions, and if you enjoy a pita bread, literally stuffed with nothing but soggy lettuce, then yes, they're your best bet, because you'll get very little meat and mountains of...
